My feet started to drag as I went down the hallway. Only two patients remained.

"Goodnight, Tiffany." I called out, not seeing her at all. It was far too dark inside her cell.

"Goodnight, Nurse." I could hear her voice call out to me. She sounded tired.

"Nurse Y/N?" I continued down the hall to Hannibal's cell.

"Yes, Hannibal?" I walked up to the glass so we could see each other.

"I'm not sure what Bo had said to you, but do know that he is most likely trying to scare you." Hannibal's voice carried his normal professionalism.

"Thanks, Hannibal. I'll see you tomorrow, alright?" I spoke with the same tone to the best of my abilities.

"Goodnight, Y/N." He said simply.

I took a deep breath while walking back through the hallway. Everyone was officially asleep, all besides Michael. I didn't have the energy to boss him around right now. I hope he can make his own sleeping decisions for the night while I go eat dinner and relax at home.

I went down the confusing halls once again, finally remembering where to go without help. The signs on the walls are still a big help. I wasn't expecting this place to be so confusing.

The cafeteria was almost empty compared to earlier. It now only had a few nurses eating dinner. At least this job feeds us. It is the least they could do after I have to watch a bunch of serial killers with no experience nor degree.

I got my plate from the cooks at a counter. They didn't even look my way when handing out the cheap looking food.

It was easy to find a spot to sit alone. Most nurses were sitting alone anyway. Just a glance around the room made me realize just how tired everyone looked. This has to be a world record for the number of times someone had to rethink their decisions. I'm too far in now. This is going to be my job, I can't just give up day one.

I found myself in the car again going back to work. I slept through the night much more peacefully than I thought I would. It did feel nice to be at home for a small amount of time. Yet here I was, going back to the sanatorium to start another day.

Music was lightly playing over the radio. Quiet enough for me to hear my own thoughts for once. That was until it was interrupted by the sound of my phone ringing.

"Hello?" I answered, not bothering to look at who it was.

"Midnight tonight!" A sporadic voice spoke through my speakers.

"I'll need more information than just that, Daisy." I said as I recognized the voice.

"A group of people plan to watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre tonight at midnight, and I think you should come with." Her voice settled down ever so slightly as she explained.

"I don't think I can make that, Daisy. You know I have to work."

"Oh, come on, it'll be so much fun!" Her voice grew louder over my speakers.

"I'll think about it. Hey, I'm pulling up to work now. I'll talk to you later." She said a quick goodbye as I hung up the phone. The sanatorium still looked haunting as I pulled up to it.

"Glad to see you return Nurse L/N." Dr. Loomis approached me. He seemed to be coming in to work at the same time.

"Yeah, I haven't even been through a full day yet. Where do I start?" I took the opportunity to ask him.

"You need to wake up your patients." He said casually as if I should already know that. "Oh! But the guards don't show up yet, so do not let any of them out until they arrive. That is when breakfast starts." Dr. Loomis stopped walking to speak to me. Of course, I wouldn't let them out without a guard. He's just making sure.

"Will do." I said with a nod as Dr. Loomis disappeared down the hall towards his office.

I went my own way, following the signs until I reached the dangerous patient cells. Michael was the first cell, and he was already up. His face was near the window as he watched me approach.

"Good morning, Michael. Did you sleep well?" I stepped up to the glass, still being quiet just in case the other patients were still asleep.

Michael, of course, didn't say a word. He didn't even show anything in his face. All he did was stare. His eyes scanning my own.

"You're here?" A voice made my eyes leave Michael's, looking over to see Emma walking up.

"I work here. Why are you here?" I stepped up to Emma so she would stop walking. I do not trust here near the cells. Even if they were locked.

"I work here also."

"Not here. These are my patients."

"Y/N. Honey. I'm a nurse in this sanatorium. Every patient here is my patient." Emma spoke down to me as if I was a child.

"Not these ones. I'm in charge of them. Now, if you excuse me, I have a job to do." I carried the same amount of the condescending in my voice as she did.

"If you could please evacuate the hall miss. We are about to take the patients to breakfast." The guards started to fill the hallway. Each pair went to their correct cells.

Emma gave up and left the hallway, finally letting us do our job. Each patient was woken up and now walking, in handcuffs, to the cafeteria. I did my job and followed the patients through the halls. Each stayed calm like yesterday, making my job much easier.

We made it to the cafeteria and everything went the same as yesterday. The patients were handcuffed to the table, and the guards went to get their food. I found myself once again sitting at the end of the table.
