Daisy and Helena stayed over for a long time. I told the two all about the news and how they spoke about the incident. Most of the day was spent ignoring my problems with my friends. The distraction was much appreciated.

It felt so cold and quiet when the left. I wasn't sure if I was ready to go to my first day of work tomorrow. It's going to be a hard thing to do after everything else that has been happening in my life. Chaos doesn't rest, and neither do I.

The night went smoothly, with no nightmares and not a lot of tossing and turning. Morning came quickly, blinding me the second I opened my eyes.

I pushed myself up to my feet and walked to the kitchen to get breakfast. A simple breakfast of cereal would be good enough. Right when I finished filling the bowl to my desired level, my phone started to ring. I looked at the screen to see that it was a call coming from Helena.

"Hey." I answered as I sat down on the couch to eat.

"Hey, your new job starts today, right?" She asked.

"It does." I said after I finished a mouthful of cereal.

"Listen Y/N... I'm not sure if you should go. I mean, it's great that you got it and everything, but well, you know he's there." She paused for a second, taking a breath. "I just want you to be safe, is all."

"I appreciate it, Helena. I really do, but I got this covered. I'll be completely safe here. Trust me, they're very secure." I did my best to reassure my friend even though I didn't know how secure the building actually was.

"If you say so. Just remember that I'm a call away and will not hesitate to bail you out." Helena laughed into the phone as I did the same.

"Thanks, I'll catch you later. I have to start getting ready." We said our goodbyes before I hung up the phone. It didn't take long after that to finish eating my cereal.

The sanatorium never gave me a uniform to wear, so I quickly chose a professional outfit. I'm sure I'll have to get dressed into a uniform the second I get there, but for now, this should be fine.

I made sure I was completely ready. I had my house and car keys. I ate food. I was dressed. I was completely ready to go. So I did. I got in the car and drove all the way to the sanatorium. The trees loomed over the road, making the drive feel much more intimidating than the previous time.

The large gates came into view. I pulled up to the gate, still not having a card to get inside myself. I pushed the button on the speaker, waiting for the voice.

"Smiths Grove is not accepting visitors at this time. If this is an emergency, please contact the police." The males voice came through the cracking speaker.

"Hi, this is Y/N L/N. I just got hired here." I spoke loudly so the person on the other side could hear me.

"Come in." The speaker turned off after the last words he spoke. The doors to the gate opened wide for me to drive through before shutting behind me. The place looked almost the same since the last time I was here. The only difference is that they fixed the broken door that was in the front.

I parked my car and got out, heading inside the building. The same man was working at the desk. He looked up at me with a smile.

"Ms. L/N. I have your uniform right here. Dr. Koplenson is currently busy, so I was told to give you this." I had to read his name tag once again to remember his name. Franklin handed me a paper with instructions. He then gave me a new uniform. It was a pale white color with red text on it along with the logo for the sanatorium. He also made sure I got my new card. It would let me get through the gates and would let me get to the back where the patients were.

"Thank you." I took everything, reading over the paper to see what it had said.

"There are bathrooms down the hall you can get dressed in." Franklin said before returning his eyes to the computer in front of him.

I nodded my head as a thank you. I then went down the hall just as he instructed. Sure enough, the bathrooms were right there. I got dressed, but I didn't leave just yet. While I was alone, I took the time to read the paper.

'Welcome to Smiths Grove Sanatorium. We are happy you are here.'

Text read at the top that was printed out. Everything else was written in. Bullet points were neatly lined down the paper.

'Meet lead nurse, Marion Chambers. She will show you around the place and tell you what to do.
If you got to your job on time, the cafeteria should be full. I would like for you to watch the guards work and learn the patterns of where each inmate is going.
I want you to work in watching over the patients and making sure they are mentally and physically stable. For now, you can keep an eye out and just learn how things work.'

Sounded simple enough. All I have to do is watch today. Nothing hard. Even if Michael Myers is around, I bet he wouldn't even recognize me. I wouldn't recognize him at all. He was wearing a mask that night.

I stepped out of the bathroom and went down the hall to the front desk again. There was only one way to get to the back, which was to the left of the desk. The security guard watched me as I scanned my new card and watched the doors open for me.
