Falling for Novogratz

Chapter 4

I take out my phone from my purse and take a quick look at my mails. I take a second look at the draft I made up for the girls for all the paperwork that I'll have to fill in. Everything looks fine. As I want to press 'send' I realise I don't even have their e-mail. I close my eyes and groan out loud, throwing my head back. I turn around to go back inside when I collide with something. By the force of the shock, my phone falls out of my hand and ends up on the sidewalk.

As I get back to reality, I try to get up, but only end up losing my balance and end up falling with my ass on the ground. " Ow!" I say as I feel my backside colliding with the ground.

" Oh God! Sadie I'm so sorry!" I hear Wolfgang's voice exclaim.

I blink a few times, and look down at my arm as I feel a warmth and his cologne embracing me.

I look up to Wolfgang, who looks like he just killed a kitten.

" I really am sorry Sadie, are you okay?" He asks with worry in his voice.

As I get my consciousness back I give him a sidegrin. " Damn Novogratz, If you wanted to get rid of me, you could've just asked, no need to knock me down so violently." He closes his eyes for a second and groans softly.

" Again with the Novogratz? You can just call me Wolfie or Wolfgang you know, since we're going to get to know one another better." He says looking me straight in the eyes.

I quickly look away and get up.

" Yeah, well, I guess we'll see about that." I grab my phone and check to see if it still works, it still does, that's a relief.

I look at Wolfgang who stands in front of me, looking at me with I guess intruige on his face?

" Is it still working?"

I look into his eyes, and again, feel my body warm up instantly.

" Uhm, yeah it does, no worries."

He sighs a sigh of relief.

" Great, I was worried for a second."

I shrug and smile at him. " No need, it's still working, but could you maybe give me an e-mail adress I can use to send all of the paperwork your sisters need please? That's what I was going back inside for." I say chuckling at my own forgetfulness.

" Yeah of course, can I have your phone? I'll just type it in." He asks holding out his hand.

I nod and give him my phone. As he types in the adress, I take time to take in this man's beauty.

Damn, he's too good looking for his own good.

" Here you go. " He says, holding out my phone for me to take back. I snap out of my little fangirl moment and take back my phone. " Thanks." I check the actual mail one last time and hit 'send'.

I lock my phone, put it in my purse and look at Wolfgang, who was already looking at me.

" Watcha looking at Novogratz?" I ask playfully, calling him that on purpose.

He steps closer to me, closing the small gap that was between us. " Something I like. " He says grinning from ear to ear. I roll my eyes and softly push him back.

" Yeah, sure. Whatever you say. " I look at the time to see it's almost time to feed my cat. I look up at Wolfgang who looked at his phone.

" Uhm, Wolfgang? "

He looks down at me with a questioning look on his face. " Yeah?"

" Since your sisters aren't coming with us, would you mind dropping me off at my place? It's almost time for my cat to get his food." I give him a side smile.
