Falling for Novogratz

Chapter 12

I turn to look at the girls who all look at me waiting for me to respond to the bomb Clara just dropped.

" Sadie? "

I look at Tallulah with a frown on my face, still processing what Clara just said. " Yeah? "
" Are you okay? " I look at the girls and shake my head. " No, what am I supposed to even respond to that? I'm just trying to process things. " 

They all nod in unison, understanding that I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around all of this. Just as I open my mouth to respond to Clara's statement, someone knocks on the door.
Clara turns around and slightly opens the door, just enough so her head can pass through the door. " Yes? "
"Sasha's getting tired babe, as soon as you all are done here, I'd like to not be much longer before we head out. " I hear KJ say from behind the door. I see Clara nod her head in agreement. " Okay babe, as soon as we're finished we'll get the little one home. " I hear a kissing sound and then she closes the door. " Sorry about that ladies, apparently there's a very tired kid downstairs. But it's fine, so Séverine, what were you going to say? "

" Oh no! No, it's fine, really. You should really get him to bed. It's fine, I'm sure we'll see each other again. " I say smiling, brushing the whole 'Wolfgang' topic off.
" Of course we will, I'm going to give you my number, can I have your phone? " She asks with a genuine smile. My eyes widen as I don't have my phone on me at the moment. " Uhm... actually my phone is downstairs in my bag. But it's okay, we can leave the bathroom, I'll get my phone, and I want ALL of your numbers if that's okay with you guys." I say pointing to all three of them.

" Of course! And we'll see each other again anyway. It's okay, and we still have a party to go to, so we're totally fine. But next time we see each other, I want the follow up on the conversation that was about to happen here. " Bellamy says looking at her sister and then back at me.

I nod, a little unsure about what she would want a follow up on. Nothing is going to happen, so I don't get it, but I agree with it anyway.

Clara opens the door and they all exit the bathroom as I fold Wolfgang's clothes and put them on the side of the sink and follow shortly thereafter. They all wait for me at the bottom of the stairs and I put my finger up to signal for them to wait a minute. I walk over to my bag and take out my phone. I unlock it and hand it over to Clara. " Here, I already have Wolfgang's number, now it's you guys' turn. Clara raises her eyebrow and grins at me. " How do you already have his number? Damn you are fast girl. " I laugh and shake my head. As I'm about to reply, KJ joins us at the bottom of the stairs with Sasha in his arms, and Wolfgang who follows them.

I turn at Clara. " I need to explain, it's not what you think at all. Why don't you ask those two here how I obtained Wolfgang's number? " I say pointing at Bellamy and Tallulah. They look at me as if I just threw them under the bus. " Yeah girls, tell Clara about your little plan. " Wolfgang says and stands next to me with his arms crossed over his chest, his arms touching mine.

" We didn't do anything wrong! " Tallulah starts defending her and her sister.
" Oh really? " I say as I quirk an eyebrow and put a hand on my hip.
" We just texted her with Wolfie's phone when we went to get her at her apartment this afternoon. There's nothing wrong with that! " Bellamy says, trying to spin the story in their favor.

Wolfgang chuckles. " Yeah right, that's all huh? "

" We had no ill intentions whatsoever, we just sent a text with your phone Wolfie, that's all."

" Oh please, You tried to set us up. Your matchmaking skills lack a bit of finesse ladies. " He responds to his sisters trying to make their little set up look innocent.

" Oh come on, would it be that bad for you guys to be dating? " Tallulah throws her hands in the air as she sighs frustrated.

" Yes it is Tallulah, I'm literally going to be working for your family. This would be unprofessional in so many ways. And his reputation would take a hit if this would ever happen and somebody found out. "
