Day Eight (Part 2)

Amanda wasn't infected before she and Mary went to the drugstore. She didn't even got bitten when she was attacked by a zombie in the drugstore when she was there with Sylvia, Calum, and Luke.

But Mary, she got bitten when she was feeding her brother. Mario didn't want to have dinner, he just laid down and stared blankly to the ceiling. Mary tried to make her brother eat his food but suddenly he slapped the spoon from Mary's hand and then bit her arm. Mary was shocked and she pulled her arm right away. Mario then looked at her and he was as shocked as her. He didn't realize with what he just did so he apologized to her and began crying. He said he was scared and Mary couldn't help but cry too.

Before Amanda and Mary went to the drugstore, Amanda entered the shop after Grace came to her and Calum and said that she wanted to talk alone with Calum. When Amanda was inside the shop, she couldn't stop sneezing because the air that midnight was freakingly cold. Mary who was alone on the front side of the shop then asked her if she took a medicine from the drugstore or not. Unfortunately she didn't. Mary then told her that she should go back to the drugstore because her flu was getting more worse. Amanda wasn't sure at first but she then agreed. They both walked out the shop and went to the drugstore together.

And that was when Amanda found something weird on Mary. She stopped every 8 until 10 steps to catch her breath. She also said she had a great headache and Amanda told her that they should go back and go to the drugstore when morning comes but Mary refused, she needed an aspirin immediately.

Amanda gave in and then they started walking again. Just a few steps after, Mary fell to the ground suddenly but surprisingly she didn't faint. Her eyes were still opened and she looked like she's choking. Amanda kneeled down beside her and she didn't know what to do. Mary stopped choking and she just laid on the ground without blinking. Amanda kept on calling her name but she didn't answer. She looked...dead. Amanda then leaned in closer when she saw Mary's mouth was moving and actually mouthing some words. Amanda tried to figure out what she's saying and found out she was whispering something. When Amanda's ear was right in front of her mouth, Mary stopped whispering. Amanda turned her head to face Mary slowly and saw her looking at her with wide eyes and she suddenly bit her neck hard until it was bleeding. Amanda moved backwards and then stood up and ran away from Mary. She ran to the shop but she stopped a few blocks from it because she felt like she wanted to barf and she did. She looked to her side and found Mary standing not far from her and that made her run again and stopped beside the bench where Calum and Grace were sitting. Her heart was beating so fast but when Calum held her shoulders, her heart slowly started to slowing down and in the end....it stopped. And that's when she was fully infected and turned into a zombie.

"Wait, Terrence and the others," Grace said after Sylvia said that they had to leave the place soon. The three of them then walked to Mario's place and saw him sitting on the bed where he laid down before.

Mario looked at them, "Where's my sister?" he enquired. Grace looked down feeling so guilty. She killed two people today and one of them was Mario's sister. Sylvia walked to him and then held his hand. "We have to leave this place, Mario. It's no longer safe," she said to him. Mario nodded then he, Sylvia, Grace, and Jack walked out the room. Terrence came with his other friends and he looked like he already found out what just happened. Sylvia let go of Mario's hand and Mario then walked with Terrence to the car he just found the day before. Sylvia and the others were going to got into the car with Jack driving and Grace will sit on the front with Jack because she knew Calum won't want to have her sitting on the back with him.

"I'm staying here," they heard suddenly. Mario was still standing on the entrance door near his dead sister. "What happened to her?" he continued and his face was already wet with tears. Jack, Calum, Sylvia, and Joy who were already inside the van turned their heads to Grace who's looking down at her hands on the front seat.
