"Do you like Nathalie?" Nick who's sitting on the grass beside Ashton asked. They were all on the grassland doing the picnic together but Ashton and Nick sat a bit far from the others.

"Im sorry what?" Ashton asked him.

"Do you like Nathalie? You've been staring at her too long," Nick spoke again. Ashton glanced at Nathalie for a few seconds and she was staring at him when he glanced at her. They immediately looked away. She was still talking with Max and Ashton knew he could do nothing about it.

"What do you know about things like that?" Ashton nudged the boy making him groaned at Ashton.

"Why do you guys keep on thinking that I'm a kid?" Nick complained.

"I didn't say that," Ashton chuckled.

"Well, you indirectly did," Nick rolled his eyes then laid himself on the grass.  Ashton joined him and laid beside him. Having Nick on his side made him thought about his little brother.

"Where are you going after this?" Nick enquired.

"We're actually heading to a place where the survivors are staying. I don't know, some kind of a shelter perhaps," Ashton replied.

"Oh, I know that," Nick said then he cleared his throat. "I was heading to that place with my family but--" Nick didn't continue. He took a deep breath before speaking again, "--all of them died before we get to the place," his voice was shaking.

"And I think it's not fair that I'm the only one who survived. It's not fair for them," Ashton turned his head to look at him and saw him started crying.

Without even thinking, Ashton pulled Nick closer and pulled his head to Ashton's chest. He tried to calm him and tell him it's alright to cry.

"Don't blame yourself for it. I'm sure your family are glad that you survived,"  Ashton said softly.

"But I'm  not ready. I'm not ready to live alone," Nick sobbed. Ashton knew how it felt. Losing your family when you weren't ready to face that.

"But you're not alone," Ashton said.

"Nick, you don't have to talk about it if it bothers you," Ashton said to him. He felt Nick sobbed on his chest and it broke his heart. Both felt sorry for him and he remembered about his family that he lost on day one. Ashton didn't realize that he started crying too but immediately wiped his tears away.

"Are you guys okay?" they heard Michael's voice said. He was sitting with his legs crossed in front of them. He looked worried mostly to Nick because he was still crying when Michael said that.

Ashton and Nick sat up and sighed in unison. "All is good," Ashton informed as he squeezed Nick's shoulder. Nick nodded to him as he bit his lips trying to hold back his tears. Michael smiled to them glad Ashton said that but he actually knew something's bothering them.

"Okay then," Michael said then stood up and walked to where the picnic basket was.

As he left, Ashton could see Nathalie and Max again. Michael's body blocked them when he sat in front of Ashton and Nick.

Nathalie and Max looked so close to each other and Ashton realized it broke his heart.

"Nick, you asked me about my feelings, right?" Ashton said. Nick sniffled then looked at him.

"Yeah?" Nick responded.

"I do. I do like her," Ashton confessed and his eyes never left Nathalie.

Grace cried again suddenly as she ran out the girls' bedroom. She was shaking as hell and this time was more worse than before.

"Grace?" Jack, who's standing at the kitchen was shocked when Grace suddenly ran to him and hugged him tight. Jack panickly looked at her. Worried with what happened. They just got back from the picnic and Grace went to the bedroom when they got back to the house.
