What the? What could that mean. Each day the messages he sent got creepier and creepier. Like always I threw it in the bin. I then had second thoughts and took all the letter he sent and stuff it in a shoe box. It will come in handy later.

I looked at the clock and realised I had a shift at the café right at that moment. I hurriedly threw on my clothes and headed out the door. I didn't notice Casey had followed me until he barked.

"Casey!" I exclaimed. I bent down to pet him and he growled in appreciation. I guess he was feeling a little unloved. "Okay, you can come with me..." He yelped exitedly. "Only of you behave." He whimpered. I shot him a sternly look and he obliged. He stood near the door whipping his tail back and forth waiting for me to open the door. I giggled and opened the door for him. He hopped inside and made himself comfortable on the seat.

I opened the driver's seat, when Drew called my name. "Maddi! I didn't see you after school to pick up Bee." He called.

"Yeah... About that." I began.

"It's okay Taylor texted me the plans." He explained.

"She did?" I asked him, puzzled. He laughed deeply.

"So where are you going?" He asked.

"I'm going to Surfers Shack for my shift that I'm late to. So I'll see you later." I said, rushing into my car and driving to my work place. I looked at the cars in the car park and I realised how much Zara would have needed me.

"Shit sorry Zara I completely forgot I had a shift now." I said as I tied my apron.

"It's okay now that you're here. But what are you going to do with your dog?" She asked.

"Um... I'll tie him outside." I told her. "He wanted to come and truth be told I have sort of abandoned him at home most of the time. He's harmless since I've been slowly training him so he won't bite." Zara nodded and I went out to tie his leash around a post where I could still keep an eye on him.

I swept my hair in a bun and stuck a pen through it. I had forgotten to get a hair tie so I had to make do.

From the drawer I took put a fresh pad and a pen to take orders. As soon as I stepped out my shift had begun. I saw some people enter the restaurant and I went over to serve them.

"A table for two." The man said.

"Sure. Right this way." I though of taking them to the sea view since it was more romantic. I set two menus on the table. "Is there anything you would like to drink?" I smiled.

"Yeah two colas thanks." I nodded and left to get their drinks. I filled up the glasses and placed them on the tray, along with two napkins.

"Are you ready to order then?" I asked when I had given them the cokes.

"I'll have the chicken burger and he'll have the cheesbruger." She said. We both smiled.

"COming right up." I told them and hurried to give their order to the chef. As soon as I had done that snother couple called to me from their table.

"Can we have the bill?" The guy asked. I nodded and printed out their bill from the portable credit card machine.

"Would you like to pay by card or by cash?" I asked them.

"Cash." I nodded and left. I never got a break, because I was too busy running around serving people. Making sure they were happy with their food as well as service. I always strived to do the best I could. My grandmother always belived that if you want to do something, do it well. Till now I have followed her words and I don't think that she has ever led me astray.
