Y/n pov
I was so excited. I couldn't believe I finally fit in somewhere. And no one hit me or anything. That's a first. My old wounds finally healed and my feet stopped hurting. Ms. Peregrine had me buy new shoes since mine were blood stained on the inside and stunk up my room. I sort of hate the new shoes but the dress I was given was nice. Nicer than what I arrived in.

Millard is always around me now. Almost wherever I go he follows, just like an invisible puppy.

"Milly! Can you pass me that book?"

His head snapped in my direction,"don't call me Milly."

"Sure thing, Milly Nullings-y," I walked over to the shelf and grabbed the book myself.

Millard slammed his book,"How is that logical? That doesn't sound like a name I would have. Y/n l/n-y."

I stuck my finger on the air mocking him,"Um, how is that logical? That's doesn't sound like my name!"

I had no idea that he wasn't joking. He set his book down and grabbed my wrist,"Hey! Let go of me!" I was thrown out of the Library. Again. I decided to see what Horace was doing. I walked upstairs and knocked on his door,"um, Horace?"

The door slammed open,"darling! I'm so glad you're here! Come in!"

I was pulled by my wrist yet again into the semi-large room. Half of it was covered with books and the other half was covered with drawings of dresses and suits. In the corner was Horace's latest work,"y/n, I made this for you! It should be finished soon enough. I'll take new measurements just to be sure."

"Wait, you never took measurements of me in the first place."

He let out an awkward laugh,"um, the first time you were asleep in the library. But never mind that!" He grabbed the measuring tape and measured everything and his bright smile shone through when he k ew he was correct. "Now get out! I need to finish! Your beauty is such a distraction!" He quickly shoved me out of the room and whispered before he shut the door,"Millard would agree."

I walked down the hallway back to the library. I just knew my cheeks were flaming.
