I struggled to make this a medium-length story, but I despise forced endings; though I have observed some of you think there should have been more episodes, hehe! While others caught on the foreseen completion.
This was my first 'Office Themed read' I took it upon myself to challenge such a theme when I know little of an office environment, but that granted me an opportunity to research, and I picked up quite a few skills here and there.
I would also like to thank some consistent readers I've noticed in my other works. It fills me with joy knowing you returned because you enjoy my work.
Additionally, I kept the characters to a minimum but had to introduce others last minute, like Ari's brother, Todo, an antagonist from my other book, 'Talk To Me.'
Q&A
What is the meaning of the title?
Basically, fantasy. Ari has been stuck in her love affair with Rey for years, and all she had was a Beautiful Dream of what she'd hope someday they'd be. She had no expectations of her fantasies and dreams, but as we know it, the two crossed paths years later and her long-forgotten and suppressed feelings returned.
Will there be a sequel?
Yes. The first novel 'TALK TO ME' has received a lot of sequel requests since 2021; hence, I wanted to extend a befitting connection with one of the characters. Ya'll didn't let me rest that time, and since the novel is published on other platforms, I have had no choice but to answer this call. So, YES, a sequel is forthcoming.
What are your happiest and most difficult moments while working on BEAUTIFUL DREAMER?
In truth, I had a lot of fun writing despite the struggle of balancing school and a full-time job at the same time. I didn't plan to write the novel from the beginning, but while working on MY DOMINANT OMEGA, which was meant to be the next published book, the idea of BEAUTIFUL DREAMER popped up. Therefore, I jotted the first chapter down so I don't forget, and that was how I continued to write to date.
When did you begin writing BEAUTIFUL DREAMER?
2022, in April. I can't believe it's finally complete!
What kind of music do you listen to while writing?
Honestly, I listen to music after writing. The genre depends on my mood. If I feel the plot flowed well, the idea made sense, and the chapter won't need much editing... There are a lot of things, actually, hehe!
Still, that is not to say I prefer to write in silence. I mostly put cartoons on low volume so the happy hippy sounds keep my spirit vibrant, childlike and joyful. I'm a believer that when the mind is at peace, ideas flow in.
Do you have plans to publish a physical volume?
At the moment, I do not. However, granted, I would love that opportunity.
What will happen to Mun?
The sequel will say it all.
Will Ari ever forgive her brother?
Knowing her character, I believe the answer is there, hihi!
How is Ari a dominant?
Technically, people in this fantasy book are born Dominant or Beta. There are quite a few dominants and females are the lesser minority. They are born with double xx chromosomes (x2x2) while Beta females have the normal xx chromosomes. This makes Ari unique in her features. Whatever is female is doubled in her physic. The downside is she can never conceive as her body is too acidic to shelter a fetus. I tried highlighting it on several characters; I hope it was executed well.
Was Ari always dominant?
Yes
Did Ari and Mun ever hook up?
Mun is beta, and despite being a player, he remains loyal to his friendship with Ari. Therefore, no.
What were Ari and Rey's first impressions of each other?
In the first chapter, we can see it all. However, they had another first impression again many years later. We can attest that each of them changed a lot; therefore, for Rey, I believe his expression, harsh words, and body language said it all.
As for Ari, she was still smitten, and I believe that was why Mun enjoyed teasing her most of the time.
Rey looks obsessive in a relationship.
Oh, absolutely!
Why did Ari like Rey so much for so long? Was there anything special about him?
Ari just had butterflies upon setting eyes on Rey. After meeting years later, she got her confirmation that she might never outgrow her feelings. That is not to say she'd thought something might happen between them. She was contended with keeping her feelings to fantasising and dreams.
What parts of the other do they find attractive?
Rey was attracted to Ari's scent, which was why he kept smelling her hair; later, Ari's personality grew in him. Initially, he admired her as a supervisor and over time, he realised he'd developed feelings when he began to feel jealous seeing Ari with Ned.
Ari, on the other hand, used to love Rey's innocence and wished for him to remain like that, but things changed later when he appeared years later all grown up and with a completely different personality. Still, Ari continued to like Rey. Therefore, she just found him attractive regardless of the physical aspects. Sometimes you just like someone, and it's hard to explain the reason why?
Will Rey ever stop calling Ari, Manager?
Honestly, I don't know. I should be able to have an answer to this, but I guess it depends on the flow of things. Eventually perhaps.
ALL IN ALL...
A sequel will be worked on and side stories. As this was the main story, I would love to explore other characters' developments. However, I can not confirm the number of episodes at the moment.
For now, I will take a well-deserved break to rest my brain and develop a good plot that you and I can enjoy reading.
