"What you want to eat Kylie?" Cali asked her daughter. She did not feel like cooking tonight.
Cali didn't get back with Maurice, she stuck to her word. She been single for a month now and she was proud of herself. Proud that she didn't go back to him.
"Chinese food." Kylie said.
Cali drove to the Chinese spot. They both got out and Cali grabbed her daughter hand.
"Hi, can I get a large beef fried rice with gravy and a order of four wings." Cali told the woman.
"That all?"
"Yes."
"$10.75." Cali gave her 11 dollars and stood to the side to wait for her food.
"Mommy can I play a game on your phone?"
"Yea." Cali took her phone out her purse and gave it to Kylie. This food really needed to hurry up because the smell was making her feel nauseas.
"Yea get me shrimp fried rice with broccoli and a side of gravy." Some man ordered.
Cali and Kylie decided to take a seat.
"Cali right?" She heard someone say. She looked up and it was the man from the club that night.
"Yea that's me."
"You remember me? Trill." Cali eyed him. He was so damn fine.
"Yea I remember you. Damn it's been a while." Cali said.
Trill watched her, he couldn't keep his eyes off her.
"Mommy Uncle Z texted you." Kylie said breaking the stare they were both giving each other.
Trill attention went to the little girl who sat across her. She was adorable and he could see some features that reminded him of Cali. He didn't think she had a daughter.
"Trill this is my daughter Kylie and Kylie this is a friend of mine."
"Hi." Kylie said waving.
"Hey, how you doing?"
"Good."
"Beef fry rice." They called out.
"I have to go, but I'll see you around." Cali said standing up.
"Can I get your number?" Trill said taking his personal phone out.
"Yea, sure." Cali typed her number in and gave it back.
"Hopefully I see you around again." Trill said.
"We'll see." Cali got her food and left.
Trill couldn't help but to watch her leave. Something was different about her but she still had the same gorgeous face.

"Where's my granddaughter?" Cali's mother asked.
"Spending the night with Maurice." Cali said eating the sliced peaches out of her cup.
"So y'all done foreal?"
"Yea ma like he keep thinking I'm a damn joke. And he stay trying to play me like I'm dumb. Fuck him." Cali ranted to her mother.
"Girl you better watch ya mouth cussing like that." Her mother said. Cali prevented herself from rolling her eyes, she was grown. It was all about respect so she wasn't too upset about it.
"Your brother getting on my damn nerves though."
"Who? HJ?" Cali asked.
"Yea, his punk ass. He want to be in the streets so fucking bad just like his ugly ass father." Zacori rolled her eyes.
