"You sure you don't want me to come with y'all?" Trill asked.
Cali was taking Braeden to the doctor to see what the problem is.
"No, I got him." Cali said putting on his jacket.
Cali picked him up and Braeden wrapped his arms around her neck.
"I'll carry him to the car." Trill took Braeden out of Cali's arm, surprisingly he didn't protest.
"My baby need to feel better because I'm really not used to this." Cali said grabbing her purse and walking down the steps. Trill followed right behind her.
"I know, I'm not used to the quietness."
They walked out the house and Trill placed Braeden in the car seat buckling him in. Cali got into the drivers seat and shut the door then turning on the car.
Trill shut the back door then walked up to the drivers side. Cali rolled the window down and looked at him.
"I'll see y'all when you get back."
"Ok, I love you baby."
Trill leaned in and gave her a simple quick kiss. "I love you too."
Cali rolled the window back up and made her way to the doctors.
-
"So what's wrong with him?" Cali asked.
The doctor just finished doing the usual check up.
"He's running a fever and I know why. He doesn't have a cold, he has an ear infection."
"That's why he doesn't eat as much." Cali said to herself.
"That's right. So I'm writing an antibiotic prescription and until you get it just hold a warm rag on his ear. It doesn't last long."
"Ok, thank you doctor. I was starting to get worried."
"No he's fine, there's no need to worry."
Braeden just sat there looking at the two. Cali got up and picked him up.
"Have a nice day and here's the prescription." The doctor gave her the paper and walked out.
Cali walked out soon after carrying Braeden. After making sure Braeden was secure in the seat she got inside her car and drove off. Cali dialed Trill's number and put her phone on speaker.
"What's up baby." Trill said.
"You hungry?" She asked. The appointment took about two hours all because of the waiting time.
"Yea, you getting us something?" Why would I ask if I wasn't going to get something. Cali thought but she decided to leave the smart remarks to herself.
"What y'all want me to get?" Cali asked approaching a red light.
"Go to Moe's and just order some shit."
"Can you call in and order?"
"Yea."
"Ard." Cali said then hung up.
Ten minutes later she was parking in front of Moe's. She turned her car off and looked back noticing Braeden had fallen asleep.
"How am I going to do this?" Cali mumbled to herself.
She put her keys and phone in her purse before getting out the car. She opened the back door then grabbed Braeden out the seat carefully not to wake him. He rested his head on her shoulder. She shut the door then grabbed her keys locking the door then putting them back.
