Another Moment in the Hood

Cali was on her way to her parents house to tell them the news of her pregnancy. She would've called them but Kylie and herself wanted to see them.

"Mom. Dad." Cali called walking into their home.

"Cali what are you doing here?" Zacori said walking down the steps fixing her hair.

"I called before I came, don't come down here until the both of you look presentable." Cali said shaking her head.

"Hi grandma." Kylie said waving.

"Hey sweetie, I'll be down."

They came down 15 minutes later.

"Pop!" Kylie yelled jumping into her grandfather's arms.

"Hi Kylie. Cali how do you deal with her?" Harlem said chuckling.

Everyone knew Kylie was a handful.

"I just do, but I have some news."

"What?" Her father asked looking at her.

"I'm pregnant again." Cali said smiling.

"Aww congratulations." Her mother beamed giving her a hug.

"By Maurice?"

"No, my boyfriend. His name is Brandon."

"Since when did you have another boyfriend?" Harlem said confused. It seemed like she and Maurice just broke up.

"A month now daddy."

"How far are you?"

"I'm now four months."

"You tell Maurice yet?"

"No, I'm telling him sometime this week." Cali said. Even though they weren't together she figured she should let him know.

"So when we meeting this Brandon?" Harlem asked his daughter.

"Soon."

After staying for two hours and eating she left and made her way home.

"Hello?" Cali answered the phone.

"Cali where you at?" Maurice asked.

"Just came from seeing my parents. What's up."

"I'm at your house, we need to talk."

"Ok, well I'll be there in 30 minutes."

"Aight." Maurice said then hung up.

That was weird. Cali thought.

"Hi baby." Cali answered the phone.

"You still at your parents?"

"Nah, I'm actually on my way home now." Cali said making her exit off of the high way.

"Aight cool. Call me when you get home and settled."

"You miss me?"

"Something like that." Cali chuckled.

"I'll call you later."

"Cool." Trill said then hung up.

20 minutes Cali was pulling into her drive way. She turned her car off and got out grabbing her purse. She opened the back door and picked a sleeping Kylie up. Locking the car door she made her way to her house door.

"You got her?" Maurice asked from behind her.

"You scared the hell out of me." Cali said opening the door. Her heart was beating fast as shit.
