Cali sat at the table with her daughter Kylie and Maurice. She was in a bad mood because Maurice thought he can do whatever he want to her.
"Do y'all need anything?" The waitress asked approaching the table. The waitress had a bad attitude towards her like she was fucking her man or something. Bitches always want to be petty.
"No were fine." Cali responded. Maurice wasn't paying no attention to the waitress.
He must've fucked her. Cali thought. She was good at putting pieces together when she needed to.
"Maurice why you acting like I'm not here." Cali rolled her eyes. She was doing the most.
"Maurice your friend talking to you." Cali said to get his attention. He looked up at Cali with his face contorted in confusion.
"Who my friend?"
"The waitress. You know her?" She asked him.
"Mommy my tummy hurt." Kylie whined rubbing her stomach.
"Come here. You ate too fast." Kylie got down and walked over to Cali. Cali picked her up and sat her on her lap rubbing her stomach.
"So Maurice when you going to text me back." The waitress continue to talk.
"Maurice handle that." Cali demanded. She was crossing the line and Cali was trying so hard not to get out of her character.
"Yo move the fuck on. You being disrespectful towards my girl and daughter. Leave before I get your manager and you know you need this job to get your rent caught up."
"Daddy said a bad word." Kylie covered her mouth chuckling.
"You lucky I need the money." The bitch said then walked away.
"You ready to go?"
"I'm beyond ready."
Maurice had dropped the two off a hour ago and left back out saying he had to take care of business. Deciding that she didn't want to be in the house she took her daughter and went to go see her mother and father.
"Oh we seeing grandma and pop?" Kylie said excitedly from the back seat.
"Yea we seeing them." They lived a hour away but it was worth the drive.
Cali got out the car and helped Kylie out. Holding her hand they walked up to her parents door step. Cali took her key and unlocked the door.
"Grandma! Pop!" Kylie yelled as soon as she stepped inside.
"Is that my granddaughter." Zacori, Cali's mother came from around the hall. Cali shut the door and took in her mother appearance. Yea she still looked young.
"Is that my grandmother?" Kylie said running up to hug her grandmother.
"Hey ma."
"Hey beautiful." Cali gave her mother a hug.
"Where's dad?"
"He out with your nephews, they should be on their way back."
Cali nodded following her mother to the back patio where they took a seat.
"So what's up. How you been?"
"Maurice is really getting on my nerves. He thinks he can do whatever he want and it pisses me off fully." Cali vented to her mother.
"What he do this time? Bring his street business to your home?"
It was a shame that her family already knew what the problem was. It happened that much.
"Yes." She said looking down with teary eyes. She hated that she loved him so much that she would let him put her through this. She wish she was as strong as her mother sometimes.
"Aww come here." Zacori opened her arms and Cali fell into them with her head laying on her chest under her mother's shoulder. "Don't cry Cali. You have to put yourself first before you put your love for him first."
"I know but I really love him."
"I know you do but there's always someone else who would appreciate your love more than he does."
"Why y'all being so sentimental out here?" Cali looked up and her father stood there.
"Hey dad."
"This about the boy huh?" Her father already knew the problem.
"Yea but I can handle it."
"Not if you out here crying over him."
"Dad-"
"Hi Aunt Cali." Her two nephews greeted her when they saw her. They were Zaire and Kammae sons, 14 and 12.
"Hi Kamari." She hugged the 12 year old. "What's up ZJ." ZJ was 14.
"Hi two favorite cousins." Kylie came over and gave both of them a hug.
They both laughed and replied with a hey.
Cali stayed for a little while longer before Kylie started to get tired and when she got tired she had an attitude and was cranky.
Cali drove home with Maurice calling her but she ignored it. She wasn't feeding into his BS tonight.
