Justin
My mother leaned down to my ear and whispered that she needed to have a word with me.
"Yeah, Mom?" I asked grabbing a soda from the fridge.
"Darling, why are you still with Lauren?"
Her question caught me off guard and it resulted in me creasing my eyebrows.
"You said what?" Justin asked. He needed some clarification.
"You heard me, Son. Why are you still with Lauren?"
"Why are you asking me this? "
"I couldn't help but to notice how long my Son kept his eyes on a certain woman. I'm not talking about Lauren either." She said.
"I'm with Lauren, Mom."
"Yes, but for how long?" She crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow at me. Where was she getting at?
"Youre saying all this as if you want me to end things with her. Dont you like Lauren?"
"I do, she's a very nice girl and compliments you very well...but I'm beginning to think that you're having a mixture of feelings." She said resting her hand on a counter.
I sighed.
"You had two women sitting in your living room other than me. One was the mother to your child, and the other was your current girlfriend. One would think your eyes were on your girlfriend but it was on another."
"That didn't mean anything."
"No one looks at another person for that time for no reason. Oh and don't get me started on how your face redenned at the sight of Rocky, when she arrived."
"Rocky?"
"Is that not the nickname you gave her when you two dated?" She asked me.
I totally remember that now.
"You know a lot about me and Roquelle don't you?" I asked the short woman.
"Yes. I just called you over to give you some advice. Choose the better woman before you get into a heap load of mess."

I spent Some time laying in my bed, just thinking about what my mom said.
Even though she had just gotten here, she could easily read me like a book.
Do i really still have feelings for Roquelle?
The more i thought about it, the more I continued to get sucked into my feelings and I didn't need all of this right now.
"Daddy?" I heard a voice.
I shifted my eyes from the ceiling, to the door. "Yes, Tiana?" I asked sitting up.
"Can i come in? I'm kind of lonely."
"Where's Lauren and my mom?"
"They're watch the steve harvey or something show...., Its boring daddy!"
I laughed. "Alright, come in if you want."
The doorknob twisted and I saw a head full of curls turn around and close the door.
"Your room is so big." She said in awe.
She hopped on the bed and started rolling around on it.
"What are you doing, Tiana?"
"Getting comfortable. I haven't seen you today a lot so I asked grandma where you were. She said that you were thinking in your room. Are you sad?"
"No, I'm not sad."
"Are you sure?" She grinned.
"Yes."
"Nuh uh, you're sad." She said crossing her arms.
"No I'm not."
"Yes you are."
"I'm not."
"You are."
"Tiana..."
"Dad.."
I smirked and began tickling her. "No-no! Dad! I'm sorry." She giggled uncontrollably.
"I don't believe you.." I tickled her sides.
"Ah!" She squealed.
"Please! Haha stop, i can't stop laughing!" She begged with a wide smile and eyes tightly closed.
"Alright." I smiled.
She began breathing heavy. "Don't do that." She playfully hit my arm.
"No promises."
She sighed and tilted her head to the side. "I'm happy that you're my dad."
"Are you sure?" I chuckled.
"Yeah. Even though you're really mean, cranky, and boring sometimes, you're really cool....iest."
"Thanks I guess.." I said. mean, cranky, and Boring. Hmm.
"Why do you like me so much, Tiana? Even the first day you came here or even at the office where you saw me for the first time, you were attached. Why is that?" I asked her. I've been meaning to ask this for awhile.
She put her finger in her chin.
"Well, mommy used to talk about you all the time."
"Used to?"
"Yup. She's with Landon now and all of a sudden very happy. Anyway..." She continued.
Why did that hurt just a little?
"Also you're rich so I knew you were gonna buy me a lot of things."
"But most importantly, I liked you because from what I've heard about you, I knew you were going to be a cool dad. I don't know, I just - there's something about you dad. I just really wanted a dad, you know?" Tiana added.
"Sooooooooooo enough Bout you. What about me?" She asked.
"Hm?"
"What do you love about me? "
Wow, she got me on the spot, umm.
"Come onnnnnnnn," she whined.
"Okay, umm, you're...very smart."
"And?"
"You're adorable.."
"Aww anddd?"
"You don't give me a hard time."
"Yayy." She clapped her hands.
"Tiana, where are you sweetie?" We heard a voice. It was my mom.
"Daddy, grandma is obsessed with me..." Tiana whispered.
"What can I say? She's amazed to see you."
"Coming, grand-grand!!" Tiana hopped off the bed.
