Both red-cladded heroes who served as mentors to the their series' protagonists (Naruto Uzumaki and Kiana Kaslana respectively). They also had another student who turned to the dark side, but later redeems themselves (Nagato Uzumaki and Raiden Mei respectively)
Bothj are known for their perverted traits (Jiraiya peeping on women for "research" to his Icha Icha books and Himeko looking for men to date in dating apps). Both tried to get a lot of dates but but failed due to rejection or other problems
Both originally had mentors of their own in their earlier lives (Hiruzen Sarutobi and Ragna Lothbrok respectively) who were killed by one of their series' antagonists (Orochimaru and Sirin/Herrscher of the Void)
Both would be killed by of one of the major villains (Pain/Nagato Uzumaki and the Herrscher of the Void respectively), with their corpses shown falling down to nothingness and their bodies were never recovered. But they would ultimately be avenged by their students who defeated their killers (Naruto defeating Pain and Kiana defeating the Herrscher of the Void) and vowing to create a better world they had envisioned
