Both of them are intelligent heroes who started off as orphans losing their parents and after experiencing major disasters they devoted themselves to protecting the world under a new name(Joachim renamed himself Welt Yang after Welt Joyce died during the Battle or New York and Tony escaped a terrorist group and became Iron Man)
Both have been known for welding technology thanks to their weapons (Core of Reason and Iron Man armors respectively) which they can use to create literal one man armies as well as create technology out of thin air with their imagination
Both have also enhanced abilities made to fight against god-like beings (Herrscher of Reason and the Godbuster armor respectively), both are some of the founding members and leaders of major organizations (Anti-Entropy and Avengers, respectively), they both have/had red head love interests (Frederica Nikola Tesla and Pepper Potts respectively), as well as close allies whom they passed down their technology to (Bronya Zaychik and James Rhodes/War Machine respectively)
Both are part of major companies (Reason Studio and Stark industries respectively)
Both are also part of other hero groups (Astral Express Crew and Iluminati respectively)
The contrast is that Welt is more serious and depressed whereas Iron Man is much more light hearted and semi egotistical
