Both are stylish and cocky warriors whose occupation (Huntstmen/Huntresses and Devil Hunters respectively) revolve around hunting monsters that plagued their worlds (Creatures of Grimm and Demons/Devils respectively)
Both are the children of neglectful parents who only sought after power and create portals with their swords (Raven Branwen and Vergil respectively) and niece/nephew to a skilled and feared swordsman who're brothers to said parents (Qrow Branwen and Dante respectively)
Both also had their right arms sliced off by a spiky-haired antagonists (Adam Taurus and Vergil respectively) but would later received cybernetic arms (Yang's prosthetic arm and Nero's Devil Breakers)
