BLADE OF VENGEANCE (REMAKE)

Chapter 8

(Mira's POV)

It has been a week since the battle on that strange world which we now know as Remnant, Y/n has recovered from his battle with that Grimm dragon and was now watching over an egg we got from Adam.

(Flash back)

I stood in front of Adam with Hanasaki, Sakura and Y/n as he explains how he knew of House Dragonicus and why Remnant was allied with the fallen noble House.

Adam: Now what I'm about to say cannot be said to anyone else, especially to the Imperium.

We nod and he began explaining.

Adam: Long ago before I became leader of Remnant, our home was peaceful and just but all of that changed when a terrible Warp storm hit us and ruined our lives. The Warp storm destroyed our planet's vegetation, claimed many lives and created the Grimm who you have just fought.

Sakura: Then why is Remnant so pure right now?

Adam: You can thank High King Draco for that, he arrived to our planet and taught us about the galaxy and how to defend ourselves. He stayed on Remnant for 30 years, defending our settlements and becoming our guardian Protector.

Mira: Why didn't he ever report you to the Imperium? I'm sure they could have helped as well.

Adam: That's the thing, High King Draco hates the Imperium. He doesn't want to do anything related with the Imperium, that's why we pledged our loyalty to him and House Dragonicus, we didn't want to lose our Protector.

Y/n: That explains why the Imperium nor the Inquisition has ever heard of Remnant.

Hanasaki: But why hate the Imperium when he's aligned with it?

Adam: High King Draco hates the Imperium because the Imperium despises House Dragonicus.

That got us all confused as we couldn't understand why the Imperium would despise a legendary House like Dragonicus.

Adam: Look I can't explain why on that part because I swore to never reveal it, even to the future High King and Queens of House Dragonicus.

Sakura: We understand. If that's all, we'll be on our way.

Adam: Actually before you go, please take this with you.

He picks up a large bag and opened it to reveal a grey and bone-like egg, Y/n took it into his arms as Adam handed it over to him then stared at the leader in pure confusion.

Adam: A parting gift so that you may remember us and what you did for our home.

(End of Flash back)

I sigh a bit as that talk with Adam only added a big mystery to House Dragonicus, like why does the Imperium hate the Knight House, what did House Dragonicus do to be hated so much and-

Sakura: MIRA!!!

I jump off my seat as Sakura yelled my name, I look at her with a glare as I got up.

Mira: What was that for?!

Sakura: I've been calling you for two whole minutes! What has gotten into you?

I sigh as I sat back down on my seat, Sakura, Hanasaki and I are currently in the Mess hall grabbing some food to eat but I guess I zoned out as I haven't even touched my food yet.

Mira: Sorry, that meeting with Adam just has me all jumbled up. I just can't stop thinking about it.

Sakura: That's Ok, it also has me worried but I don't think about it too much. I more focused on getting my revenge on those heretics who attacked my home.
