Hyunjin sighed and turned off his phone. He quickly went downstairs and ran to the living room where his mom sat. He put his hands on his knees and tried to catch his breath.
"Mom, we need to get the house clean... They're coming back tomorrow."
His mom heard tomorrow and got up quickly. She understood how important this was to Hyunjin. He missed his friends a lot and was excited to see them again.
"Clean your room sweetie I'll clean the downstairs area!"
Hyunjin nodded and ran upstairs. His room was a mess, there were dishes everywhere and clothes scattered across the floor. There were a lot of canvases too, most of them having Felix on them.
His house was normally super clean, but since Hyunjin wasn't doing well, his mom stopped worrying about cleaning. Her main concern was getting Hyunjin to feel better.
His mom was great at cleaning quickly. She was done in 40 minutes. Hyunjin on the other hand wasn't done. He didn't even start cleaning he was sitting there tugging at his hair.
Hyunjin heard the door to his room open and his mom walked in. He looked at her with sad and tired eyes. She quickly went to the floor to help Hyunjin clean. She began folding his clothes when she noticed a little silver thing.
"Hyunjin-ahh... what is that? I don't want to be in your business but I see red on it?"
Hyunjin quickly looked at where she was looking. Lo and behold, there it was. He knew she would get upset. Not mad upset, but sad upset. He stared at it trying to come up with an excuse.
"Mom... we can talk about it tomorrow, right now I just want this damn room cleaned."
His mom sighed and nodded, she decided to leave it for Hyunjin to pick up himself. She folded clothes and picked up the dirty dishes bringing them downstairs. Hyunjin let out a sigh and stacked up all his canvases nicely to give to Felix.
