Hyunjin woke up to an empty bed. Felix was nowhere to be seen, which was upsetting to Hyunjin. Minho knocked on the door gently. Hyunjin looked at the door and saw a nervous Jisung next to Minho and Felix.
"Hyunjin Hyung..." Jisung spoke softly as he walked into the room. Minho followed behind him with a small sad smile. Felix stayed at the door and watched.
"I'm sorry, I didn't think you'd care that much. I thought we were joking around," Jisung pouted as he went to hug Hyunjin.
"It's alright Jisung. I'm not mad at you, in my opinion, you have every right to hate me." Hyunjin smiled, but anyone would see the pain behind his smile.
"Jin, don't lie please. It'll make everyone feel worse." Minho sighed and placed a hand on Hyunjin's shoulder.
"I am NOT lying. I don't get why you guys want to make him not hate me. If anything I want him to hate me! As much as it hurts to think about it, I don't want him to be okay with me. I need that constant reminder that I always mess everything up." Hyunjin began crying.
"That's too damn bad!" Jisung shouted, they all heard a little giggle from Felix. Minho looked at him confused while Jisung began to understand. Hyunjin already knew the moment Jisung said it.
"I'M TIRED OF THIS GRANDPA!" Felix started and Jisung continued, "WELL THAT'S TOO DAMN BAD!" The two boys giggled while Minho shook his head.
"We can't even have a serious conversation," Minho sighed. Hyunjin just smiled and nodded. Felix and Jisung began talking about random memes, leaving Minho and Hyunjin to talk.
"Jinnie, you really are my best friend. I want nothing more than my boyfriend trusting my best friend. I want you and Ji to be okay with each other. This is killing both me and Felix to watch Jisung hate you and receive kindness in return." Minho explained and Hyunjin just nodded.
"I'm serious, Jisung doesn't have to worry about his best friend being chill with his boyfriend. He doesn't understand how stressful it is for us to watch him give you constant dirty looks. He doesn't understand why Lix yelled at him first thing in the morning.
I also have to apologize for yelling at you. I was defending Jisung while you defended me. I got protective over him, and I'm sorry." Minho hugged Hyunjin gently, he didn't get a response from Hyunjin, just tears. He knew Hyunjin felt overwhelmed by the entire situation.
"In all honesty, I can't control his feelings. He could secretly hate my guts, but act like he loves me." Minho sadly sighed, Hyunjin knew he was right. There was no way to truly know how anyone is feeling. Everything could be a lie that is very well told.
"Hyung, you are my best friend. I think Jisung truly does love you, he would have left sooner than later if he didn't love you. I am giving you my entirely honest opinion." Hyunjin attempted to get rid of that feeling Minho was having. He was too familiar with those same feelings, that the one person you truly love doesn't love you back like they say they do.
"You're right Jin, thank you," Minho smiled gently. "Of course man, any time, I am always here for you." Hyunjin smiled back, he really wanted to give a genuine smile, but he couldn't. Minho could see right through his face smile. He wanted to point it out and help Hyunjin fix whatever pain he was feeling.
"I'm here for you too Hyun, I'll take Jisung and we'll get out of your hair. Call me if you need anything, alright?" Minho spoke as he stood up, Hyunjin nodded at the older and watched him walk off. Half of him expected Felix to stay and comfort him, but the other half knew he wouldn't. All three males walked out of the room, leaving Hyunjin alone with his thoughts.
'He doesn't really care about you, just go home and let them be happy.' He told himself as he stood up and grabbed his jacket. He slid his arms into the jacket and opened the door slowly. He heard all three males talking in Minho's room, laughing and having fun, without him. He blinked away the tears that threatened to fall.
'See, they truly do not want you here. They would have made some attempt to include you.' He walked to the front door slowly and slipped on his shoes. He hated the fact that his heart told him it was fake love. He wanted it to be real, he wanted it to last forever. He opened the front door once his shoes were tied and left. He walked to his house with tears falling down his face.
He wanted to talk to Seungmin and Jeongin. They always had advice that was actually quite useful, but as he approached his house, all cars were there, and all lights were off from what he could see. His heart sank at the thought of anything bad happening. His mom always at least left the living room light on, no matter what.
He sprinted to the front door and struggled to unlock it. His hands were shaking horribly, and he was sobbing. He finally unlocked the door and turned the handle, a man whom he had never seen before was laying on the ground. Lifeless and covered in blood from head to toe. He looked around and there he spotted his best friend, mother, and brother. He assumed Jeongin and Sunoo never came over.
He pulled out his phone and quickly dialed 119, he stared at his family as tears rolled down his face. Seungmin had a knife in hand as he sat silently. His brother had a huge knife wound in his arm, which he assumed was from the strange man that had been lying on the floor. His mom had one in her leg, and Seungmin had them in many places. Hyunjin tried to explain carefully about what he assumed happened to the officer on the phone.
He was told they were sending someone immediately, so once the call ended, he called Jeongin. He was on the phone with the youngest as he went to check his family's pulse. They all had a pulse, but still the thought crept into his mind, 'what if they died already?' Jeongin hung up as soon as he reached the house. He ran through the open door and fell at Hyunjin's side.
