(Ya'll, I'mma just let ya'll know now this book ain't getting done tonight, but  the Halloween part is so stick around!)

OCTOBER 30 2:02

I've been spending a lot of time in the house lately with my mother. We've been carving pumpkins and watching so many scary movies. It's been great honestly, I don't get to spend a lot of time with her. But to tell you the truth, I'm really getting tired of it. I know I didn't like going out and socializing but now that I've done it I realize it isn't so bad. But my mom insist that I stay inside and doing something around the house. Sometimes I feel like she's trying to hide something from me, but I would never want to think that my mother would do me wrong.

And now I sit here on the couch, staring blankly at the TV screen, it's not even on. I finally got up after ten minutes and grabbed my shoes and jacket, I just can't spend another day in this damn house! I need to get out and do something- I mean tomorrow is Halloween! My mom's gone at work, she won't be back till another 4 hours. That gives me plenty of time to go out and do something then come back. As I zipped my jacket up I thought about what I was gonna do, I could go back to that bar. It was a nice environment, felt homey and welcoming. I could also order that drink I saw on the menu the other day, they still think I'm 21. I tied my shoelaces and walked out side, as I opened the door the window blew in my face, and gosh it felt so good. It was pretty chilly out today, the weather is getting cooler and cooler and I'm loving every bit of it.

As I walked I can feel a pang of guilt rising in me, I don't like disobeying my own mother. I've always been a good kid, and now I'm going against what she told me to do. But it's not healthy to be laying cooped up in the house 24/7, even she said that, so I can't be wrong in this case. The streets were really quiet, it was quiet and still outside, like everyone and everything is holding their breaths. I can't even hear any birds, or cars. It's too quiet, and now I'm starting to regret leaving the house. It's feeling so tense and can feel my anxiety just rising. I stopped walking, I was only about 6 blocks away from my home, I don't usually take this way, but I wanted to get a good walk in. I was standing outside, of this small green house. All of the houses on this street look old as shit. Right in between the houses was a very long neatly cut bush. I stood there debating whether or not I should just turn around and go back home, then I heard someone walking. I looked up and saw a woman walking, she was coming my way. She looked so familiar, but I can't exactly remember where I saw her.

She looked deep in thoughts, and she was also muttering to herself. When she saw me standing there she stopped right in her tracks. Here eyes were wide and startled like she saw a ghost.

Every since the news has been getting out that Michael had escaped from the Sanitarium, everyone has been staying in their houses, but not Laurie. She's not afraid of Michael, not anymore. It was about 16 years ago where she had seen him face to face again. It was at Sand Cove Trailer Park, in another town not to far from Haddonfield. She was so close... So close... And there was someone else there with him..

Laurie furrowed her brows, trying to remember as she walked down the sidewalk. It was the police chief's rule to stay indoors until Michael was caught. But she knows how this is gonna go : They ain't gonna get him. This happened the last time. Her daughter Jamie begged her to stay in the house, but Laurie refused. She left the house with nothing but a bottle of Jack Daniels and a pistol in her jean jacket pocket. If she were to run into Michael, she'd be ready, that's for sure. She was walking down the street of her old neighborhood, she remembered everything about it. Every house, even all the trees. And even...

She was now making her way towards a large squared bush that separated two houses. This, is where she saw Michael, she'd never forget it...

Laurie stopped in her tracks, her heart almost stopping. At first glance she thought it was Michael standing there, but she realized it was only a girl. But she looked very similar to him, the same height and shape. Laurie squinted her eyes, she's seen this girl before hasn't she? The girl was also staring back, as if she was also trying to remember her. Her eyes then lit up and she started jogging slowly towards her, "Laurie!" She called out, she looked relieved and happy. When the girl got closer she then remembered who she was, she had saw her at Mick's Bar. She looked delighted to see her, "Hello Laurie, how are you?" She asked. It took Laurie a second to respond, still recovering from that scare, she looks so much like him.

"I've met you before, at Mick's Bar." Laurie finally said.

The girl nodded, "Yeah you did, it's me Janet." She said. "You gave me those missing papers of your granddaughter, and I told you I was gonna give them to my mom that day when I went home." She explained. Laurie could feel a pain in her heart, thinking about her granddaughter Annie, she shook it off. "I did do that I remember now." Laurie said nodding. "Yeah, my mom said she's gonna give them to all her coworkers at her workplace." Janet told her. Laurie nodded again, but then stopped when she realized. "Janet, what are you doing out here by yourself?" She asked her. Janet gave her a puzzled look, "Just getting some fresh air that's all. Why do you ask?" She said. Laurie stared at her, she could see that Janet was starting to get nervous so she spoke again. "Haven't you watched the news?" She asked her. Janet shook her head.

"Read the newspaper?"

Janet shook her head again, "I use to but my mom's not getting them for me anymore, I don't know why." She said shuffling her feet awkwardly. "She didn't tell you, did she?" Laurie asked. "Tell me what?" Janet said getting closer. She was a few feet taller than Laurie, so she had to look up at her. "You didn't hear anything about Michael?" Laurie asked her.

"Who? Michael Jackson?"

"No! Not him!" Laurie said, now getting frustrated. "Well there's a lot of Michael's miss Laurie, you should be a little more specific." Janet said, chuckling at bit. It was making Laurie mad, that she wasn't at all worried or taking any of this serious, but she also have no idea. "I'm talking about Michael Myers, the deranged serial killer." Laurie said in a very serious and quiet tone. The smile faded from Janet's face, she looked confused then scared. "Serial killer?" She repeated.

Laurie nodded her head, "He's been locked away for almost 16 years but he escaped just last week. You shouldn't be out here by yourself!" Laurie told her. Janet backed away now wide eyed, her mouth gaped open. "I- I didn't know! No one told me! Oh my god I got to go home and tell my mom!" She said, and before Laurie could speak she ran off in the opposite direction. Laurie watched as she took a drink from her Jack Daniels bottle.

At least she'll be safe now.
