Hobi POV:

My lecture just ended and my shift at the coffee shop doesn't start for another hour.

Perfect, I have to drop off some books at the library anyway.

It's only about a five minute walk from the university to the library, so I don't even have to hurry.

However, just as I'm about to climb the steps to the big front door, a girl runs into me.

She has brown hair which reaches her waist and she is wearing jeans and a blue sweater.

I can't see her face because I dropped a book in the collision, after which she immediately bends down and picks it up.

She hands it to me and bows slightly while mumbling an apology.

As quickly as she came, she disappears again, I don't know why but I just stand there for a moment and stare after her.

She reminds me of someone.

I have handed in my books and am just about to pick some new ones from the shelves when someone taps me on the shoulder.

When I turn around Mi Cha is standing in front of me, she is a freshman and I know her because a friend of mine finds her very, how do I say this, interesting.

I mean she is pretty and all but her character is what makes her ugly.

"Hey Sunbae." she beams at me "Do you want to join us maybe, I would need a little help."

She says and puts on a puppy look.

"Sorry but I'm in a hurry. Besides, you'd better find someone from your field of study to explain. "I say perhaps a little too unkindly and briefly her smile falls.

I quickly say goodbye and leave the library. She is really pretty, if you like the artificial type, but inside she is the devil. It's not even three weeks and I've already heard more about her than some of my fellow students. Also, I once see her and her friends being pretty mean to one of the students.

I really don't need that in my life anymore.

I make my way to the café and start my shift.

YN POV:

When I get home I throw my backpack on my couch and grab my cell phone.

I dial my mom's number and lift the phone to my ear.

After only four rings she picks up.

"YN my dear, I wanted to remind you earlier today but you hung up so quickly. I just wanted to let you know that we are on our way now along with the moving truck and will arrive in about two hours."

"Ok, I'll be on my way soon then."

"You don't have to come, we know it's very stressful for you right now."

"No, no. All good I want to help unpack, after all you guys got me my apartment and helped set it up."

"And we were happy to do that too darling. I'm going to hang up now. I'll see you later. Take care of yourself."

"Will do. See you later and drive safe."

As soon as I hang up I look at the clock, they'll be there in two hours, the house is about three quarters of an hour from here so it's enough if I leave in an hour.

I'm happy that my parents are moving to Seoul. They're moving here from Busan, I've been living with them since they decided to take care of me.

Because Mr. and Mrs. Kim are not my biological parents. Three years ago, when I was 17 years old, I was in a car accident with my biological parents, and they both died.

The accident took place in Busan, and I was hospitalized there. Mr. Kim was a neurosurgeon and the head doctor there, and he took care of me from the beginning. He tried for a long time to find living relatives with whom I could live, but there were none.

When I was discharged, Mr. and Mrs. Kim suggested that I live with them.

I never missed my former life, not even my parents, to be honest I never had a chance to. Because I just don't remember them. I can't remember anything before the time of the accident, not even my parents.

In the accident I hit my head, which is why they had to operate on my brain. No one knows if anything was damaged in the accident or in the operation, but in any case I don't remember anything.

According to the doctors I have retrograde amnesia, which means I can't remember anything before the accident.

It's a shame and a little scary, I mean I don't even remember what kind of person I was. I wonder if I've changed much. I wouldn't even know my own name if I hadn't had my ID with me that day.

Anyway, I had to stay in the hospital for half a year before I moved in with Mr. and Mrs. Kim.

Mrs. Kim, by the way, is a lawyer and works for a prestigious firm.

So it could have been worse for me, everyone treats me as if I were a real family member and I don't have to worry about financing my studies. I have never asked them for money but they just help where they can.

That's why I want to give back as much as I can.

I quickly make myself something to eat and then decide to put on a movie to pass the time until I have to leave.

-

It took me almost exactly three quarters of an hour to get to the new house, right now I'm just sitting in the car looking at pictures on my phone.

Although I know that the accident happened with the car at that time, I still never had fear while driving. Maybe it's also because of the amnesia.

I hear a car door slam shut and take my eyes off my phone screen.

There right in front of the house is the moving van and behind it is Mr. Kim's "favorite Audi".

I get out of my car and close the door. I run to my parents and am immediately closed by Mr. Kim in a tight hug.

"YN my dear, how nice to finally see you again." he says in his deep grumpy voice, which also matches his appearance. He always reminds me of a teddy bear somehow.

"Honey, don't act like you haven't seen her in years. We just visited her last week," says Mrs. Kim, who is also getting out of the Audi now. She is wearing a white dress that goes down to her knees and white high heels.

"And let her go, I'd like to say hello to Yn too" she says with a smirk and closes me too, but in a gentler hug.

"It may be that we have seen her only recently but I miss my daughter."

As soon as we were done exchanging the most important news, we help the moving people clear out the moving truck.

-

It is already late afternoon when we stand in front of the house and express our thanks to the work, they say goodbye and we go back into the house.

Once inside, Mr. Kim immediately drops onto the sofa, which is still in the middle of the room, while Mrs. Kim immediately begins to clear the things out of the large boxes.

I also drop onto the sofa and watch her.

Suddenly I hear a loud grumble next to me and have to laugh.

"Appa, if you want we can go get something to eat, a friend of mine recommended a cafe near the university and I was going there anyway."

I see his eyes light up as he thinks of something to eat. He looks at his stomach for a second and seems a little sad. "I don't know, I would love to but I think I'll leave it alone."

"What nonsense!" Mrs. Kim's head appears in the doorway, "You have a great figure! And besides, I'm a little hungry too."

"Eomma is absolutely right, you ,have absolutely nothing to worry about."

"You really think so?" there is a big grin on his face. "Then let's go get something to eat!"
