Hobi POV:

After about an hour, I wake up to a knock on my door, I throw back my covers and swing my legs out of bed.

As I walk to the door, I rub my eyes.

I open the door and am greeted by a, "Hey Man, Damn you look like shit." I look at the faces of my two friends and take a step to the side. The slightly taller of the two, who is still shorter than me, immediately heads for my couch and flops down on it, while the other gives me a smile that makes his eyes disappear.

"Shit, Yoongi hyung is right, you look like crap. Have you been crying?" Jimin asks me as he scrutinizes my face.

"No, I'm fine." I gesture for him to take a seat and disappear into the kitchen to get something to drink and snacks.

I put everything on my coffee table and then sit down with the boys.

"You didn't reply to our messages, so we just dropped by." Yoongi says and makes himself comfortable on my sofa.

I check my phone, only to find that the battery is dead. "Sorry, I must have forgotten to charge it," I say as I show them the phone.

"Everything's fine. Shall we start now?" I look at Jimin questioningly, as I don't know what he means.

"Well, our movie marathon. You haven't forgotten that, have you?" He gives me a mock offended look before taking the movies out of his backpack.

I put on the first movie and make myself comfortable next to Yoongi and Jimin, who has squeezed himself onto the sofa next to Yoongi.

-

After about three and a half hours, the first two movies are finished. The sky outside my window has turned in a mixture of dark purple tones and the sun is already quite low.

"I'm getting cold." Jimin suddenly whines like a child. "Then get a blanket." Yoongi says and turns back to his coffee.

"There must be a few more blankets in my cupboard at the bottom, you can just grab one." He nods and makes his way to my room.

After a moment, he returns with three blankets in his arms. "Hey Hobi." he calls to me and I turn to face him.

He holds a picture under my nose and asks, "Who is that? She looks familiar somehow."

I take the picture from his hand and look at it. It's Yn and me on one of our hikes. We used to hike through a forest to a waterfall a lot, it was always her favorite place since we discovered it together when we were eight or nine.

"This is an old friend of mine. Her name is Yn." I tell him.

"Oh, the last time I saw her was at a traffic light, but I couldn't place where I knew her from. She's the Kim's daughter, isn't she?" He asks as he grabs the picture from my hand and stares at it again.

"No, her last name is Lee." I say, looking at him confused.

"No no, definitely. My parents are friends with Mrs. Kim and I've met her before. I'm quite sure that's her."

I just stare at Jimin and don't understand what he's talking about. Why would she suddenly be called Kim, have her parents split up and one of them remarried?

Yoongi nudges me and looks at me. "What's wrong with you, you're really pale." I just shake my head and look back at Jimin.

"When did you meet her?" I don't know why I want to know, but I have a feeling it would answer my questions.

"That was probably three or two years ago when she was released from the hospital and the Kim's first introduced her as their daughter. You see, Mrs. Kim can't have children, so she was very happy when they took her in."

"What do you mean, take her in? She's not their real daughter, then what about her parents?" Yoongi asked the exact question that was on the tip of my tongue.

"As far as I know, her parents died in an accident and she lost her memory due to a head injury. Can you imagine that, I mean what's it like to forget everything that ever was?" Jimin stares into the air and thinks.

Yoongi just shakes his head, probably trying to imagine it too. For me, though, everything finally makes sense. It's not my fault and she really can't remember me.

Of course I'm sorry that Mrs. and Mr. Lee died but at the same time I'm totally relieved. Maybe there is a way for her to remember everything, to remember me.

My face lights up and I can't help but smile. Both boys look at me questioningly. When I ignore them, though, Yoongi taps his forehead and Jimin just shrugs before handing them each a blanket and popping in the third movie.

-

Another five hours later and it's already eleven o'clock. The boys left a quarter of an hour ago. I'm ready to go to sleep in my bed and try to do so.

However, I don't succeed as my thoughts are on a rollercoaster in my head.

I get up and shuffle over to my desk, switch on my laptop and slump down in my chair.

After about half an hour, I have all the information I want. The accident apparently took place In Busan,on the day they went on vacation. Which was also the reason Yn was taken to the hospital there.

It didn't found many news, I only found something about it on a rather small and unknown website.

The people who took her in are apparently one of the doctors and his wife, a lawyer. So at least Yn was taken in by people who can look after her.

I lean back and close my eyes to process all the information when the sound of my phone snaps me out of my thoughts.

I look at the screen and immediately grin broadly. Yn has written.

"Hey, meet in the library tomorrow to discuss the project work?"

I immediately type a message back to her. "Sure, when?" Her reply comes quickly. "At ten?" "Works for me. See you tomorrow then, sleep well." All I get back is an "Okay." And I have to smile. She still does exactly what she used to do when she doesn't know people, just keep everyone at a distance. But now I wonder why she has made friends with that snake MiCha.

My eyelids get heavy and, looking forward to the next day and the meeting with Yn, I lie down in my bed, set my alarm clock for extra early and soon drift off into a deep sleep.

In my dream, I am with Yn at the waterfall in the forest. There are small fish swimming in the crystal-clear water and the sun is in the middle of a cloudless sky above us.

Three deers can be seen at the edge of the forest as we sit on a large rock and dangle our feet in the water.

I tell her all the time how much I've missed her and she sits silently beside me, looking at me with a smile.

Suddenly, however, dark clouds gather and obscure the sun, it gets colder and a light wind picks up.

Suddenly, the boy I saw with Yn at the university today steps out of the forest. He comes towards us and holds out his hand to her.

She takes it and stands up. As she leaves, she doesn't turn around to look at me again. The guy, however, looks at me with a mocking grin and leads her further away from me.

The sun has suddenly disappeared completely and the wind has picked up. The birds that were happily singing their songs a few seconds ago have fallen silent and there are no more animals to be seen.

Above my head, I hear a loud rumble of thunder and it starts to rain in torrents.

I stand there, alone and completely soaked. My hair is hanging in my face and my clothes are sticking to my skin like wet sacks.

Slowly the dream is replaced by a deep blackness and soon there is nothing to see but dark emptiness.
