Hobi POV:
I sit in my last lecture for the day and watch the room fill with students.
There are freshmen and sophomores mixed in this class, so there are a lot more students here than in my first two lectures.
I drop my head onto my crossed arms and try to ignore the noise.
Slowly, everyone has taken their seats and quiets down. When the professor enters the room it is so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Nothing more of the unbearable noise from before can be heard.
When the professor begins, I absolutely cannot concentrate, which is not a big deal because I am already familiar with the subject, but it bothers me.
Without knowing what I'm looking for, I let my eyes wander through the rows of seats until I spot her.
She's in my class, I'm jumping up and down inside. She is sitting only two rows in front of me and I can see her perfectly from my seat.
Without even trying to concentrate on the class, I rest my chin on my arms and look at her.
-
The class is almost over. I have been watching her the whole lecture, any doubts I had are gone now. Her demeanor, her laugh and how she interacts with the others, she may have changed a little but she is definitely my Yn.
As she stows her things in her red backpack, I continue to watch her, then as she turns to leave, I stand up as if automatically and follow her.
It's hard to keep her in sight as all the students stream out of the room.
Someone pushes in front of me and my gaze is briefly separated from her.
It was maybe only a millisecond that I lost sight of her but still, after the guy in front of me is gone, I can't pick her out in the crowd.
With my eyes I search the corridors, while I run to the exit. However, I see no trace of her. Disappointed, I slump my shoulders.
As I slowly move toward the school gate, I notice that it is starting to rain on top of everything else.
Powerless, I let my backpack slide onto my forearm and take out my cap, which I always carry around with me.
I put it on and also pull my hood over my head, at least the head stays dry. I have no jacket with me, because it is quite warm.
Slowly I trot home and just can not move my thoughts away from what is going on with her.
When I arrived shortly before my front door, a few young people on their bikes come forwards me. I step to the side not to be hit by them, however, they drive right next to me through a puddle, my jeans now dripping only so from the dirty water.
I mean I'm soaked to the bone anyway but now my clothes are dirty too.
I sigh, "Really not my day today," I grumble as I put my key in the lock and unlock it.
I put my backpack on the heater, hoping to let it dry a bit, go into the bathroom and get rid of my wet and dirty clothes.
After I shower, I put on dry clothes and get ready for my shift at the café.
Before I leave, I make myself a coffee and grab a denim jacket.
I've already taken a step out my door when I turn around once more and reach for an umbrella standing next to the door.
YN POV:
After I left college, Soo Hyun wrote me a message. He wants to invite me to the new cafe and of course I accepted.
I'm standing in front of my full body mirror right now, looking at my outfit from all possible angles.
After changing my clothes four times already, I decide to put on this outfit. It consists of a dark blue skirt which ends just above the knees, a tight white shirt and a light blue cardigan over it.
It stopped raining a few minutes ago so I decide not to take an umbrella but just my white bag.
I hang the bag on my shoulders, slip into my black Vans and lock the front door behind me.
I decide to walk since the weather is now quite pleasant.
-
After walking through a park, listening to birds and watching children play, I arrive at the café about three quarters of an hour later.
Soo Hyun is already standing in front of it and when he spots me he comes to meet me.
He kisses me on the forehead and examines me from top to bottom, "You look fantastic babe."
I feel myself blushing and look down with a smile. However, not for long, as my friend holds me by the arm and pulls me behind him into the café.
"What would you like?" he lets go of my hand as we stand at the counter and turns to me.
"Mmm...I think an ice coffee and a blueberry muffin."
"Good, why don't you go find a place for us to sit and I'll join you after I order."
Silently, I nod and find us a table. There are only a few tables occupied and I decide on a table for two in a quiet corner.
After hanging my bag over the back of the chair, I sit down and wait patiently until Soo hyun comes.
He comes and sits down opposite me. We talk about more or less trivial things until our order is brought to us by a waitress and we turn our attention to the food.
Just as I finish my blueberry muffin, there is a sound from his cell phone, a sign of a new message.
He looks at the screen before quickly typing something and then looks over at me with an apologetic look.
"Sorry baby, but I have to go, I might see you tomorrow." He gives me a quick kiss before literally running out the door.
My mood worsens a little, it's not the first time he's just left during one of our dates. Anyway, this was our first date in months and I was really looking forward to it.
I lean back in my chair, look out the big window and sigh, "Oh great, now it's raining again."
Contritely, I empty my cup and get ready to leave.
Just as I'm about to step out of the dark door, someone puts a hand on my shoulder, making me wince slightly.
As I turn around I don't believe who is standing there.
Who might that be 😉.
