her point of view
The door opening has my eyes squinting open, just getting a glimpse of Alannas back before the door shuts.
I stare at the ceiling, Sams soft breathing on the back of my neck, glancing down at her arm over my waist.
Ideally, we'd be at hers on a Sunday morning.
Or mine.
But I'm also not going to complain about being squished on a single bed, Friday morning, in London.I gently brush my thumb over her knuckles, the bruises a deep purple now.
She nuzzles her head into the back of my neck, mumbling some words into my shoulder." hm?".
" Good morning" Her raspy morning voice has me swallowing the dryness in my throat.
" Did you sleep okay?".
I feel her head nod against my back, her grip tightens on me as she pulls me closer to her chest.
I know I'll replay this moment in my mind for a while.I want to stay, but I should check my phone in case mum or Jake has something to say.
Reaching my arm out, I try and lean for the bedside table but Sam pulls me back against her." I need to check my phone".
She shakes her head, snaking her arm back over my waist.
" We can just stay like this for a bit" She mumbles.
Giving in to her soft voice, I rest my shoulders, sinking into her.
I could fight with my eyelids but I'm starting to feel a headache coming on, so I'd rather not.Letting my eyes close, I drift off to sleep.
Mackenzie's point of view
The inclusive lunch downstairs, surprisingly has a lot to offer.
We missed breakfast, being morbidly hungover and all.Caitlin's already filled two bowls of soup, while I've scoffed down a fair few pies.
She laughs at the stack of hash browns on my plate, opening her mouth to say something when Alanna cuts her off, plonking down on the chair beside me.
" Okay so we all know Sam and Hazel are like going to end up together right?".
Caitlin and I look at each other with confusion, turning back to face her.
" Sam wasn't in your room last night, because she was in mine. With Hazel".
My mouth gapes open, before pulling to a side smile.
" They're going to end up together. Sam has been so different since Hazel joined the team, don't yous think?" Caitlin says.
We both nod, Alanna steals a hash brown off my plate before I can swat her hand away.
" She's so much more.." I look for the word.
" Lively?" Alanna says.
We all nod, finishing the last of the food on our plates.
" I haven't seen them all day" Caitlin says.
" Should we go see if they're still in the room?" I raise an eyebrow.
They're out of their seats before I get a response, following the two of them to the elevator.
Walking down the hallway towards her room, she quietly unlocks the front door, peering her head through the door before grinning back at the two of us.
She steps inside, Caitlin goes after, then I follow, all of us trying our best to be quiet.
They're both deep asleep, the sheets to their waists.
Sams head is pressed into the back of hazels neck, her arm over her waist.
