My phone vibrates on the sofa next to me, letting my eyes adjust to the morning sun, shooting through the blinds.
Hazel lays at the other end of the sofa, her knees to her chest, she lays in a fetal position.

I wouldn't mind watching her sleep a little longer, but my phone continues to vibrate.

Flipping it over, the lock screen lights up with a fair few missed calls & texts.
Not just from Taylor.

Mack's texted me twice and called me once,
Alanna has called me twice,
there's too many to count from Taylor.

I probably shouldn't have just left the apartment while she was in bed but, I didn't exactly invite her to stay over, and it's not like i'm obligated to tell her where I am all the time.

But I should get home.
My head hurts and I'm not sure what to tell Taylor.
I'm not even sure what to say to Hazel, I probably owe her an apology for randomly showing up.

I won't wake her though, grabbing my phone,
staring down at her.
She always looks so peaceful in her sleep.

Walking towards the door, I glance back at her once more.
Walking out into the mid morning sun, a familiar grey car sits at the pavement.

Mackenzie rolls the window down, nothing but a mum look on her face.

" How'd I know you'd be here?" She teases.

Shrugging, I don't hesitate to climb into her front seat.
My heads pounding and I could use a ride home.

" Nothing happened, if that's what you're thinking" I say.

She shrugs, pulling off onto the road.

" It's none of my business. Kind of crazy we bumped into her last night,
considering how large London is".

I just nod, crossing my arms over my chest, relaxing into the chair.

" Taylor's worried about you, she called both Alanna and I at like, five this morning" She sighs.

Letting out a breath, I slide out my phone.
Replying to her multiple messages, I tell her I'll be home later tonight.

" Would it be cool if I hung around yours for a bit, showered maybe? I feel like shit" I ask.

She nods, " Course".

My phone pings a few times, Taylor's red hearts coming through.
Opening my phone again, I press on Hazel's contact, swiping into our chat.

Our last messages are after we'd gotten back from beating England, we stayed up so late.
I was so tired the next morning, but couldn't care less.

Beginning to chew at the inside of my lip, I fiddle with my thumbs before typing.

s- hey, sorry i didn't want to wake you and had to go.
call me when you wake up?

I type an x at the end, then delete it before pressing send.
Turning the phone off, I slide it into my back pocket.

Once we're back at Mackenzies, Alanna is quick to bomb a million questions on me.
All about Hazel of course.

Playfully pushing past her, I follow Mack to the bathroom.
She hands me a towel, laughing at my reaction to seeing myself in the mirror.

I look wrecked.

" Thanks".

She smiles, " Go crash in my bed after,
if you want".

I nod, closing the door behind her.
Stripping my clothes off, I let the warm stream of water bring me a little bit of life back.

Why did I get so fucked up?
I couldn't deal with seeing her again, the look on her face when she saw Taylor's arms around me.
I also actually didn't know if I'd ever see her again, considering the way she left and all.
