I immediately hopped out of the bed, and ran to the entryway.

"Warden! Call an ambulance!" I shouted. "My baby's comin'!" Angie let out a small yelp, and I immediately rushed to her side again. "Just wait a little longer, Angie. It'll be ok." I mumbled, grabbing her hand and giving it a squeeze.

"M-Mac..." She moaned, sweat starting to drip down her face. I wiped it away.

"I'm here, Angie. I'm right here."

Behind me, I heard the sound of footsteps. I was shoved out of the way. "Mac!" Angie shrieked. I got up and watched as two security officers gently grabbed Angie, and helped her out of the cell. I was hot on their heels, when the warden stopped me.

"Mac, you're gonna have to stay." He stated. I stopped, my eyes wide as he shut the cell door, locking me inside.

"What?" I demanded, grabbing the bars.

"You can't go to the hospital with her. You don't have probation." He explained.

"No, no no! I have to be there with her! Tha's my baby too!" I shouted, and started to shake the bars, desperate to get out.

"Mac, calm down. Ok, I'll make you a deal; I'll let you be with her until the ambulance arrives, got it?" The warden declared. I nodded. "But you can only stay here." He added. I nodded, watching as he unlocked cell door. As soon as the door was cracked open, I shoved my way out. Ignoring the wardens orders to get back, I raced after the guards to the visitor center.

Angie was sitting in a chair, both guards holding her hands. Mike was rubbing her shoulders, mumbling some words to her. She let out a scream again, her eye slammed shut. I shoved one of the guards to the side, and replaced his hand with mine.

"Shh. Angie it's ok. I'm right here." I murmured, kissing her temple. I placed an arm around her her shoulders, rubbing it comfortingly. Angie squeezed my hand again, sending little waves of pain up my arm. I ignored them, my focus entirely on her face. She screamed out again, clutching my hand tighter.

"M-Mac!" She screamed, squeezing her eyes shut.

"I'm right here, baby. I ain't leavin'." I mumbled, giving her cheek a kiss.

"Promise?" She asked, breathlessly.

"Yeah." I mumbled.

For the next ten or so minutes, I was clutching Angie's hand, murmuring comforting things in her ears. Finally the paramedics arrived. With my help, they got Angie onto a gurney. Mike watched in the background. The paramedics rolled Angie to the front doors, me hot on their trail. Until a strong hand grabbed my shoulder and held me back. I turned around, glaring at the warden.

"Mac, ya can't go. I already told ya." He mumbled.

"But I have to! Tha's my baby! What if somethin' happens to her, an' I ain't there?" I demanded, horrible thoughts of Angie or the baby dying ran through my head.

"Mac, you're not on probation." The warden gently murmured. "She'll be fine."

Tears started rushing to my eyes as I watched the paramedics take Angie into an ambulance. I turned back to the warden, starting to get desperate.

"Please, warden. Let me go with her." I begged.

"Mac-"

"I'll get on my knees and beg you if I have to!" I declared. The warden shook his head, so I dropped to my knees, clasping my hands together. "Please. Please let me go with her." I pleaded, feeling pathetic for having to beg.
