I stood in front of Mike's old house. Well, our house now. It was a blue house with white edging. The yard was small, yet simple. Perfect for a child. The four step stairs led up to a small patio. A big oak tree sat in the front yard, shading the house from harsh sun rays. It was a small, one story house with a basement. It had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fairly spacious kitchen and living room, and the basement had a nice office in it. Plus, the house was fairly close to an elementary school and a decent park. Mac was busy loading the heavy stuff in, while Mike and Jacob helped. I still couldn't believe Mike had just given us a house!

Melissa and Jacob were shocked to find that I was alive, and pregnant. Beside me, Melissa was cooing over Maria. Only my parents and Mike knew about Mac's past and our "meeting". And that's how it was gonna stay.

"I still can't believe you're the one to have a baby. You! You were so against teenage pregnancy." Melissa stated, rockin maria in her arms.

"Well, once you find out you're gonna be a parent, your whole world changes." I stated dreamily.

"God, I still can't believe that fucker raped you! I swear, if I find that asshole, I'm gonna rip his balls off and feed them to him!" Melissa declared. In the distance, Mac had heard, and looked concerned. I couldn't help but chuckle.

"Well, thankfully he won't show his face near here again." I stated. Then I glanced at Mac. He nodded, and continued helping the guys lift a bed into the house.

"God, I can't believe you and Mike broke up! Are you sure you're gonna be ok?" Melissa asked.

"Yeah. Of course." I said, glancing at her. She was staring at Mac.

"Hey, who's he?" She asked. "He's been here for a while."

"He's, uh," before I could answer, Mac decided to hustle to us. Once he was near me, he threw an arm over my shoulder, holding me close.

"Hi beautiful. Y'ok?" He asked, giving my temple a small kiss.

"Yeah. Go help the other boys now." I ordered, gently shoving him away. He smiled at me, before helping Mike and Jacob lift a couch into the house. Melissa stared at me wide eyed.

"Where the hell did you find him?" She demanded, appearing swooned.

"Hey, he's mine." I stated, gently shoving her.

"Damn. Mike is nice. He's giving you guys his house, and giving you some money!" Melissa exclaimed. Suddenly, Maria started to squirm and cry. "Hey, hey, shh. Auntie Melissa is here." She tried to soothe Maria, but failed when Maria only wailed harder.

Mac came hustling out of our house. "What's goin' on here?" He asked, halting in front of us.

"Maria is acting up. She misses you." I stated. Mac smiled, and gently took Maria from Melissa's arms.

"Hey baby. I'm right here. Daddy's here." Mac murmured, gently rocking her. As soon as he started rocking her, Maria stopped fussing, and fixed Mac with that brown gaze.

"Did he just call himself 'Daddy'?" Melissa whispered in my ear.

"We want her to think he's her father." I answered. "He's been supportive during the pregnancy."

"Oh. Well, he's a natural." Melissa stated, nodding in approval. Mac was gently rocking Maria to the side, swaying his hips a little. "Do you know what the theme for the nursery will be?"

"We were thinking a meadow with flowers. Or possibly Disney Princesses." I said.

"I like the meadow one. That sounds cute and original." Melissa stated. "God, I can't get over Mac. He's a natural! Where did you two meet at?"
