(I don't know if you've figured it out yet, but I like adding Easter Eggs into my stories. ;)

I was sitting on my bed, unloading my things. I pulled out a picture of Angie and Maria. I smiled at them. I was so absorbed in their faces that I didn't hear anyone coming behind me.

"Hey, you're the new guy from Denver, right?" I heard someone behind me ask. I turned around, seeing a man coming up to me. He looked around my age, with similar colored hair. His eyes were brown though, and his hair was spiked up with gel.

"Yeah." I said, standing up.

"What's your name?" He asked.

"Mac. Mac Flanery." I stated, holding out my right hand. He didn't shake it; instead, he started chuckling. "What?"

"You stole my name, lad." He declared, smiling. "Name's Sean. Sean Patrick Flanery."

I chuckled. "You may have stollen mine." I joked.

"Nonsense, Flanery!" Sean stated, slapping me on the back. I laughed.

"What're they gonna call you?" I asked. "Or are we gonna share the name?"

"I'll let you keep the Flanery, Flanery. I'll just say my name's Patrick."

"A'right, Patrick." I said, smiling slightly. Sean glanced down at my hands.

"Who're they?" He asked, gesturing towards the picture.

"My girls. Angie and Maria." I explained, smiling at them.

"Wife and daughter?"

"Fiancé and daughter." I corrected him.

"How'd they react to you going in?" He asked.

"My daughter doesn't really know. She's only seven months. Angie, on the other hand, is devastated. I feel kinda bad for leavin' her." I admitted.

"Don't worry about it too much. My girl, Taylor, broke down and cried when I told her. Our son Jackson is a year old." Sean stated.

"Yeah. Same with Angie. She almost didn' let me leave." I joked, causing Sean to laugh.

"Well, good thing she let ya." He said, a huge smile on his face. "So you're here for mechanics, right?"

"Yep." I answered, smiling slightly.

"Ah. Well, nice talking to ya, Flanery." Sean said, turning around and going towards his bunk.

"You too, Patrick!" I called back.
