After Ruby left, a heavy silence fell on the group. The kind of silence that you want to end, but can't seem to break. Each of the five people involved in it had something that made them mutes for a time.
If only I didn't have this... condition... I could've said something to her. Or at least prevent her from going... But...
Yang: Guys... I know none of us want to do anything right now, but we have to go after her. Neo knows we're here. If she attacks her while she's alone... Like this...
Blake: She's right. We need to move.
Weiss: Jaune if you'd prefer to stay here you can–
Jaune: No. It's too late for that. I'll come with you and... and we'll all explain ourselves.
Weiss smiled at him for proving he still had his courageous spirit.
Yang, pointing at the forest: She went that way.
As the group followed and started shouting Ruby's name, Schlag got immersed in her thoughts.
This is not normal. No one else has those mood swings depending on the Acre we're in.
From what I've seen, nothing ever happens by coincidence in the Ever-After. This is probably some stupid metaphor to make me learn something. But what's the lesson?
Let's stop and think for a second. My eyes change color. My mood follows this arbitrary color pattern. Red for angry, blue for sad and pink for... nice? I guess. There's also my Semblance that changes color.
This has probably something to do with it, since I know my eyes light up before I use it.
So the environment affects me, which affects my Semblance, meaning it's a direct connection between the Acre's "ambiance" and my soul.
This looks like y/n's Semblance. Which makes no sense.
Or maybe the lesson is that I shouldn't rely on him, because his mood will then dictate mine, which would be a bad thing?
That seems a bit elaborate, and I thought I had already dealt with that in the Herbalist's house. It must be something else...
...
My Semblance. I've used it only once since arriving... Didn't need to...
And Neo had an inexplicable change in her Semblance too, it went from glass illusions to real things...
But the others didn't feel any change...
Maybe their Semblances were already complete?
Maybe this dimension is just fucking with us as it pleases.
I have to try my Semblance. But I can't hurt the others.
The only thing that comes to mind is something like y/n. An effect on other's emotions.
I mean the soldiers back at the Red Castle were getting wrecked until I came in and used it. But could very well just have been their motivation rising from seeing their "Queen" on the battlefield.
I have to test it, and since my mood seems like a nice one, it probably won't have any bad effect.
Schlag: Guys I think I can try something.
Everyone turned to her.
"Ruby probably doesn't want to stay alone. She ran in the spur of the moment. I think if I use my Semblance she may see us in the distance. The forest's not very thick
