Chapter 6: It's Not Cheating, It's Preparation

(y/n POV)

As I approach the launching area, I see professor Goodwitch looking at me angrily

Glynda: That's why you asked for a parachute! If it was up to me, I would confiscate it immediately!

"First, if you do, I'll die, 100%. Second, I believe I have the right to use my own landing strategy. And I understand your goal is to make the students know that nothing will be going as planned, and that they need to be able to adapt themselves to survive, but they should know that preparation may save their lives too."

"Humpf... I'll let it slide for today, but you won't be allowed to do these kind of things next time. Understood?"

"Yes, thank you"

I then get on a launching pad, beside Jaune, who looks at me and says: "Wooooow, and here I thought I was weird carrying a war weapon..."

"Well you never know what may happen right? And you're wearing a light armor, so you should understand, right?"

"Yes I do, and I'm relieved to see I'm not the only one wondering why everybody is just wearing some thin clothes"

After Ozpin and Glynda explained what was going to follow, I attach Gluttony (in assault mode) to my chest, to be sure it doesn't fall, because that would be the end of me. And I begin to ask myself how the hell could this thing launchAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!

I'm taken out of my thoughts, and thrown into the sky...

I regain control pretty quick, and try to see where the temple is, but I don't see it, then I begin too sense I'm slowing down, and beginning to fall for real, so I take my position, and quickly pull the string on my backpack, effectively deploying my parachute, as I see the others using their own "landing strategy"

I take my compass out, and head north. After like 20 seconds, I see an object flying so quick it leaves an orange trail behind it, and I figure out it's just Pyrrha helping Jaune

After some time floating though the sky, I finally see my objective, the forest temple! But I also hear a unholy scream, breaking me out of my joy, and as I turn to see what creature just made that sound, I see a Nevermore flying right to me, I quickly pull the strings of the parachute to do an emergency descent, and dodge it in extremis

I see it turning and coming at me one more time, as I pull the strings harder, not wanting to finish like Roman...

I manage to dodge him one more time, but I'm too close to the trees, and prepare myself for the incoming crash

I crash into the trees, and the second later, I'm stuck 2 meters above the ground. I detach myself of the parachute and fall on the ground. I forgot to activate my Aura, but the suit really minimazed the damage

I concentrate to activate the passive defense aura, put on my hood and neck gaiter, look at my compass, and begin moving north, knowing the temple is near

After just 5 minute of walking, I get in a glade, and the temple is right in the middle

I get to it, and see all the chest pieces, but my attention is attracted by a piece placed in the center, it's the black knight
