You're a normal 16 years old guy except for the fact that you like to think of yourself as a rationalist and like to put forward your... well... let's say... realistic point of view. A bit to much for some people, but they're just too dumb to unders...
About thirty seconds after running out of the herbalist's mushroom house, the group stopped to catch their breath and the cat followed them by jumping from one mushroom to the other.
Cat: I'm so glad the four of you are still the four of you. Not always the case in the Ever-After.
Weiss, pointing at the cat: You're the one who ditched us in the first place. Which, by the way, was how we ended up in that mushroom house in the first place. You know? Where that delirious caterpillar guy tried to drug us and then was swallowed whole by a freaking hole in the ground!
Cat: Yes yes. Alyx had a similar reaction the first time she saw someone return to the Ever-After. But it's not how it seems. Well I supposed it is. But not the way you think, if you think like Alyx. Which it seems like you do.
It leaves just after saying those words, partially confusing the group, and completely confusing Yang.
Even y/n doesn't try this hard to be annoying... Well I guess Yang will say something, I'm not in the mood right now. Talking about my mood...
Schlag: Guys, do any of you feel weirdly depressed? Almost as if there was an Apathy around?
Yang: You mean those awful Grimm? Heck no! They were a hassle!
Weiss: Why? Do you feel like there's one around?
As Weiss approached Schlag, she saw something that stopped her in her tracks.
Weiss: Schlag... Your eyes... They're blue.
Schlag: I've always had blue eyes. But wait, they were red before, right?
Blake: This is not your usual blue. It's darker...
Cat: We're here! Come on!
Ruby: I'm sure we'll fix it with the lasagna thing, alright?
Schlag: I guess...
The group followed the cat and suddenly arrived at a clearing, which turned to be a lake with a gigantic waterlily at its center.

They followed the cat on the leave as it started to be carried by the current towards the center, making Schlag wonder how they would get back since the water flowed inward.
Yang: So, cat. Going to explain to us how a giant caterpillar disappearing into a hole isn't how it seems?
Cat: Hmm... When we break or wear out or simply finish what we were made to do, we are called back. But Herb... his heart was too weak to listen. So I gave him a little bit of mine.
Blake seemingly hesitant to ask: Is he... dead?
Cat, smirking back: *Laugh* No no. Well maybe a little bit. But not at all.
Yang: *Grunt* Which is it?!
The cat, annoyed that his mysteriousness is not appreciated, frowns before answering.
