Rebound

Jennie's eyes fluttered open as she was jolted awake by a heavy foot landing on her small frame. Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she was startled to find herself staring at a black curtain of hair. It took her a moment to remember that she was crashing at Lisa's place, and as she lay there recalling the events of the previous day, a smile crept across her face.

Lisa's restless movements during sleep were nothing new to Jennie. In fact, she was grateful to still be fully in bed that morning rather than half-floating and on the verge of falling due to Lisa's dominating presence on the other side of the bed. Well, Lisa is always dominating at everything anyway.

As a gust of cold air from the air conditioner hit her, Jennie shivered and realized that the blanket only covered half of her naked body. She quickly moved closer to Lisa, seeking the warmth of skin-to-skin contact to ward off the morning chill. There was something comforting about the way Lisa's body felt against hers, she never knew she always needed it.

Jennie's mind was racing with thoughts when suddenly Lisa stirred in her sleep. Jennie froze, unsure of what to do next. Should she say good morning? But would it be weird, given that they hadn't spoken before? She was getting increasingly anxious, trying to predict Lisa's reaction.

Just as Jennie was about to give up on making a move, Lisa's arm stiffened, indicating that she was awake. Jennie was certain that Lisa was just as nervous as she was. But to her surprise, Lisa pulled her in for a tight embrace and kissed the top of her head. Jennie was taken aback and didn't know how to react, so she pretended to be asleep.

"Hon? J-jen...?" Lisa wanted to call Jennie by her pet name, but she didn't know if that was something Jennie wanted. She remembered the Paris incident and didn't want to repeat the same mistake.

She realized that running away from Jennie again would not help fix things between them. So, Lisa decided to show her love in a different way.

She gave Jennie a hundred kisses on her head and held her tighter, letting her know that she was there for her. As Lisa breathed in Jennie's hair, her mind began to race. She realized that Jennie's scent was always her favorite.

"I-I missed this..." Lisa's voice barely audible as she tried to make it as low as possible. She didn't want Jennie to wake up because she wasn't sure if she could pour out her heart freely when Jennie woke up.

Little did she know that Jennie was wide awake before she woke up. Jennie shut her eyes hoping that her ears could catch Lisa's words clearly. She knew that Lisa may not able to talk her heart out if she woke up that's why she preferred to feign sleep.

Jennie's heart was racing as Lisa showered her with kisses, as if making up for lost time. Between each tender embrace, Lisa's voice trembled with emotion. "Oh God, I miss you so much... I don't think I could survive if you leave me again, so please... Please don't ever run away..." Lisa held her tears as she continued, "It's just... I-I was having a hard time getting over the relationship that we were never in..." Lisa stammered.

"I don't care if I have to turn my world upside down. I don't care if they threaten me to leave. T-this... this feels right. I know this is the right thing. With you in my arms, everything will be right, right?" Lisa's voice quivered with emotion as she gazed into the windows as if waiting for a response.

Jennie lay still, her body stunned by the weight of Lisa's words. She wanted to believe that everything would be alright, that this was the right thing, but she couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss.

As Jennie was still processing Lisa's words in her head, she suddenly noticed Lisa take a deep breath. Jennie's attention was immediately drawn towards her, wondering what Lisa was about to say next.
