Jealousy

As soon as the meeting ended, the girls rushed back to their base camp to get some rest before the upcoming practice. Jisoo and Rosé suggested having a meal together, but Jennie was too exhausted to even think about eating. She just wanted to curl up in bed and not think about anything. Lisa offered to stay with her, but Jennie insisted that she goes with Chaesoo and have some alone time.

Despite Lisa being supportive and understanding about Jennie's decision to reveal her relationship with Kai, Jennie couldn't help but feel guilty when the board decided to pull the topic. These feelings of regret and guilt had started to resurface, making her worry about Lisa's feelings.

What if Lisa felt jealous or hurt? What if she got tired of the situation and decided to leave? These thoughts were pushing Jennie at the edge, leaving her feeling anxious and uncertain.

Lisa leaned in to kiss Jennie's forehead before asking, "Are you sure you don't want me to stay?" Checking that Jennie was lying comfortably, she waited for a response.

Jennie took a deep breath and removed the cardigan she was wearing, then replied, "I need to be alone, is that okay for you?"

Lisa understood Jennie's need for space, but still felt concerned. She handed over her hoodie and said, "If that's what you want... But, please call me if you need anything, yeah?"

Jennie took the hoodie and inhaled its scent, whispering, "This is enough, I'll see you guys later. I love you..."

Lisa watched as Jennie settled down, feeling the weight of her worry. She knew it was essential to respect Jennie's wishes but couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.

In the end, Lisa decided to leave Jennie alone and catch up with Jisoo and Rosé who were already waiting in the car. She didn't want to push Jennie too much to talk about what was bothering her but hoped she would reach out if she needed anything.

This was the first time the chaotic trio spent their time together after a while. Being in public is a hassle for the girls, especially when they're in Korea. Jisoo's dating rumors were still a hot topic, so they have to be careful not to attract any unwanted attention from the paparazzi or nosy bystanders.

As they make their way through the busy streets, Jisoo and Rosé are deep in conversation about the most mundane things. Rosé can't stop gushing about how happy she is with her new Mac Pro, which was recommended by Jisoo. Meanwhile, Lisa is quietly listening to the Chaesoo duo's chatter but can't help but keep her phone close, just in case Jennie sends a text.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, Jisoo and Rosé engaged in a serious conversation while Lisa remained preoccupied with her phone. Even during their meal, Jisoo persisted in expressing her frustration over their request being taken lightly by the board.

"Any word from Jennie?" Rosé asked Lisa, interrupting her silence.

"She's probably asleep," Lisa responded, her voice tinged with concern.

"Are you okay, though?" Jisoo asked, placing a piece of freshly grilled meat in Lisa's bowl.

"I think Jennie's worried about what the board said earlier might have affected my trust in her," Lisa admitted while fiddling with her chopsticks.

"Well, does it?" Rosé took the meat from Lisa's bowl, annoyed at being toyed with.

"I'm not sure," Lisa answered softly, "It triggers me in some way. But I know it's all in the past, and I shouldn't worry, right?" Lisa paused, unsure of her own question.

"We knew this was coming," Jisoo added, expressing her despair. "The board will do whatever it takes to make their wish come true, even if it means getting their hands dirty."
