10. What Are We Going To Do?

Lilly's POV
Zayn decided to leave on a ten day stress break. The boys didn't want to rearrange the music, it just a bad signal to fans, I then laughed, and said, "What are you going to do then? Have me perform instead of Zayn?" They all looked at me and I stopped laughing and said, "You're serious aren't you?" Liam said, "Well, it wouldn't have us have to rearrange the music, I mean, you know all of our parts by heart because you helped produce them, and you can reach Zayn's vocal range." I said, "I'll do it, if and only if Zayn is okay with this, you all are okay with this, Simon is okay with this, and most importantly Management is okay with this." We Skyped Simon, Management and Zayn said they were perfectly okay with it. I said, "Okay, Simon I need you to explain to my fans that it is only temporary, I am not under any circumstances replacing Zayn, just filling him in when he is gone, I did not suggest it, and finally, this wasn't management's idea. I know what they will think, the fans, so we just need to clear it up. I'm going to record the screen, post it on my YouTube Channel, and I need all the boys, you, and Modest to put it on every social media platform possible." He agreed and I didn't go on any of my social media platforms for the night. The media was blowing up after that. It kind of stunk I had an interview the next morning and they asked what happened, I said, "I'm just filling so the boys don't have stress about learning new placement for the show, I can't and will not replace Zayn, no one can. I got asked because I knew the show and the music as well as I know mine, so it was just a last minute decision."

It was the second show I was in and when my face came on the screen, the fans booed... Believe me, I heard it... I went out there and when I had a solo, they booed... it was time for Little Things and when I sang they all booed again, I was refused to tear up, but I couldn't take it anymore! I ran to backstage and cried. The music stopped and all of the boys ran after me... I was crying in the dressing room and Niall came up to me asking, "Lilly, what's wrong?" I said, "It's them, they boo at me when I have a solo, they boo when they see my face, they hate me!" I cried as he pulled me into his arms. I said, "Go finish the show, I'll be waiting on the bus." He said, "No! I refuse to let you be like this, you're coming with us and we are going to talk to them about this." I shook my head and said, "It will only fuel the fire..." Liam said, "Lilly, this is what we have been talking about with the campaign. To show kindness and to not bully, what people have done tonight was bully you and we are done!" Harry said, "Lilly, you know this isn't okay and we have to do something..." I said, "No you don't. This is my war, not yours... I choose to surrender." Louis said, "No! We are going to fight this! You taught us to be strong, show kindness, be brave, and to stand up for what we believe in..." I looked at them in surprise, mostly Louis, and they dragged me out there. I could feel the camera on me. They all booed and I tried to leave, but Niall and Harry stopped me. Liam said, "I don't know what to say about what we just witnessed except that we are just shocked this all happened..." Louis continued, "Our campaign with Office Depot was to stop bullying, but the thing we had fought to to stop had happened right here during our own concert!" Harry said, "We told people to be nice, Lilly in her movie showed people to be kind. I don't think we've seen any of that tonight given how you hurt her." Niall said, "We realize not all of you had been rude, but a good amount. Just like when we announced that she was filling in for Zayn, a lot of you "fans" had been very, very rude to her. She refused to go on any social media's because she doesn't want to read any of the nasty comments you all send her! We won't forgive you for what happened tonight!" I shouted, "Enough!" I stood up and went to the front of the stage, standing on a platform saying, "Look, I know this past week hasn't been the best. I know all of you hurt that Zayn left, I was too, everyone who has a small amount care about these boys felt bad. I know me coming in was even worse. I never expected this to happen to me. I'm just supposed to fill in the ten days. I know you all are trying to protect your boys. So, despite the boys not forgiving you, I forgive any fan who has said or done anything rude to me. I truly forgive you." The boys looked at me shocked and I smiled and continued, "I think I am going to go, finish up the show boys, and I will see you after..." Niall said, "Wait, do you really forgive them?" I smiled and said, "I do..." He kissed me full on the mouth and I giggled. He said, "Please stay." I touched his cheek and shook my head no. Liam said, "I want to hear you scream for Lilly to stay!" The crowd went wild... I asked, "Are you sure?" They all screamed louder! I smiled and said, "Okay..."

Niall took me by the hand and we sat together. He didn't grab his guitar which was weird, but I didn't care. Dan took over the guitar and I was going to sing the first verse, but Niall beat me to it. I smiled, he pulled me into a slow dance, and it felt like he was singing to me and only me... We slow danced with his hands on my hips and mine arms around his neck with my hands in his hair; he was using his headset to sing. We kept on slow dancing until the end. He looked into my eyes when he had a solo and took my hands. I smiled and he held me close he spun me and I giggled. He took over Zayn's part for that song. I didn't mind... At the end, Niall said, "I love you, forever and always..." I smiled and said, "I love you more!" We kissed and at that moment, it was perfect...

I finished the concert knowing my boyfriend and brothers had my back, though everything and anything.

Zayn officially said he was leaving and we had two days to rearrange the music. I assigned some of the harder solos to Liam and Harry, and Louis and Niall got the easier ones for their vocal ability. Things were changing for One Direction, it wasn't going to be fun, but we are going to get through it...
