I Lied

"Hey, Reg?" Izzie called out from the room. She and Reg were done touring, but they still had several interviews across the United Kingdom. They were now staying in Hogsmeade for an interview with the local radio station. After seeing Sirius with the young blond, she needed a break. She called Cor and asked if several interviews could be pushed back. Cor, the still amazing man that he was, did just that. The first few weeks, they gave each other space, only talking when absolutely necessary. But things got better because of his promise, a friend first. So, he got her reservations at a retreat in Cyprus. Because she had no reception there, her phone stayed in the nightstand next to her bed. The retreat was a sort of cleansing, so she was only allowed to write to one person, one time a week. So, of course, that was Regulus. But now that she was back, she arrived back to the UK this morning and was now getting ready for their interview.

"Yeah?" He called from the other side of the hotel room. Gone was the boy with the proper etiquette, who wasn't about shouting. Years ago, before, Reg would have walked over to her room, stand respectfully at her door and would ask: Yes, Isabelle?

" I think I forgot my cell at the retreat. I can't find it."

Regulus came barging in her room, his nose already in her suitcase. "I'll call them after the interview, they can send it our way. Aha!" He said triumphantly, holding out her black skinny jeans.

"Stop stealing my clothes, Reg." Izzie whined with a smile as he tugged on the trousers.

"I've been doing it for fifteen years, you don't get to be all huffy with me." He stuck out his tongue before he changed in front of her. "We should be going." He said adjusting his shirt over the jeans.

"I suggest you close your zipper. You and Remus only started going out two weeks ago, but I don't think he will like people eyeing your crotch."

"Remus and I are fine."

"Really fine ." She wiggled her eyebrows. "Two of the most handsome men in my life."

"Let's go, you crazy woman." He tugged her out of the room while she laughed.

The interview went well, they talked about the tour and the countries they've been to. They didn't talk about Cor, because they signed a contract saying that they couldn't. But they did ask about her two latest songs, that were a massive hit. But, dear sweet Regulus, saved her from answering. Long ago, he wouldn't talk to the press even if his life depended on it. But now, he was an expert in it. It all happened about ten years ago, after her first interview. When the journalist asked about her past, she spaced out. Regulus who was standing at the door, dropped down next to her and jumped in. Ever since then, they did interviews together.

When they stepped out of the radio station, they sighed out a breath of relief. She was just going to suggest going the three broomsticks when she noticed Sirius standing a few metres away. He was bouncing nervously from one foot to the other. She turned to Regulus to ask if they had planned this but saw he was gone. Holding in a sigh, she turned back to Sirius.

"I - I heard you on the radio."

"I'm sorry, Sirius. I don't have time." She said already turning.

"Izzie, no." His voice was pleading as his fingers curled around her arm. "I wanted to see you."

"I don't think your girlfriend will like that."

"What girlfriend? I don't have a girlfriend."

"The one you're shagging then." She snapped, ripping her arm out of his grasp. She walked away from him, not looking back.
