Dangerous

I put the phone down on the table  with a deep
sigh.

I have two choices.

Save my life and my baby's or save Tom's life and save Ellie's body.

Either way I lose everything.

I got into a car and started to drive to the hospital.

Without hesitating I walked all the way to Tom's room to make sure he was safe.

As I entered the room I checked everywhere no one or nothing was in there except for him.

My phone began to ring again.

It was Ellie.

Anger came back as I picked up.

Mia: What.

I coldly said.

??: The deal was you jumping off the roof not to make sure Tom was ok.

Mia: I'm gonna do what you need anyways, I think I get to say bye to him.

??: I'm watching you.

The call ended.

I turn back to Tom looking at him.

Mia: Just know I love you Tom.

I opened the door taking the elevator to the rooftop.

The doors open and I walked out.

It was a very snowy day.

I walked to the edge looking down. From my view everyone looked like little ants.

A trembled sigh escaped my mouth. I was deeply scared I felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest.

I closed my eyes putting my hands on my baby bump rubbing it.

This was the end.

...

I prepared myself to lean forward to fall off the building but my phone started ringing.

I tried to ignore it but I couldn't.

I groaned and accepted the call.

Mia: Hello?

I said annoyed still on the edge of the rooftop.

Bill: Mia! Come to Tom's room he woke up! He woke up!

He said with pure joy.

I felt happiness again. My smile was a big as it could get.

I rushed to his room desperate to see him awake.

I bursted in there with tears.

Mia: Tom!

I rushed to him hugging him tight feeling relief.

Although he didn't hug back. It was strange, he felt strange.

Tom: Wer ist diese Frau?

He said gently pushing me away looking at Bill.

I gave a confused look to bill not knowing what tom said.

Bill: Tom, this is mia your lover.

Tom: I don't know her bill.
He said in his deep german accent.

My heart broke. He doesn't remember me.

I stayed quiet looking at him. He has the same cold lifeless look in his eyes when I first met him.
