Change

I miss the old days
When we'd sing our favourite song
You'd tell me in different ways
That we were best friends for lifelong.

You meant so much to me,
I loved you to infinity.
Now I know you would lie,
When you said your home was me.

You were the easiest hello and the hardest goodbye.
You were the one whom I could never lie.
You were the hope to my every sad sigh.
You were my strength when I wished to die.

Why did you have to change
And become all strange?
You were the sunshine in my life of darkness.
Tell me, when did you become so heartless?

You tell me it was my mistake,
When I was the one who was awake
All the nights you felt you couldn't make.
Now, my heart doesn't ache.

I was grateful to you then
But now I don't owe you anything
You proved everyone right
That I'm not made for anyone.

(p.s. this reminds me of "you drew stars around my scars but now i'm bleedin'")
