Dreams pov:
words can't describe how grateful i am to have george back on my chest sleeping peacefully, his body pressed into my feels like home and the sight of his and ivy sleeping next to each other is absolutely adorable, it almost takes my mind off the frustration building inside me caused by the fact ivy still hasn't been seen by a doctor,
i sit with them both sleeping until i finally get the call that ivy can be brought in an hour later, george is still fast asleep and i don't want to wake him up so i decide to put ivy in her sling against my chest allowing me to be able to take her in while george sleeps,
the waiting room is still carnage as i walk through, in the two minute walk to the doctors consultation i get ran into by at least two snotty nosed toddlers and i get some flirtatious looks from the middle aged women,
i walk into the room i was directed to and see a bald doctor who looks about fourty running around seeming incredibly stressed, "hi, i had to make and emergency appointment, it's under the name clay williams," i say,
"oh shit yeah," he says,, "so what are her symptoms?" he asks scooting over on the his wheely chair as i sit on the bed with ivy in my lap,
"when i woke up her temperature was one hundred and two and it was one hundred and five when we left, she just been really hot and bothered and she threw up earlier," i explain,
"okay it sounds like a fever i'll write you a prescription for some drugs for her temperature then just keep her at him and try keeping her cool until it kicks in," he says hurriedly scrawling a prescription in messy hand writing, "give this to the girl at the front desk," he says handing it to me,
"uh, okay," i say as he practically pushes me out the door as a mother and son walk in, i keep one hand protectively on ivys back and hold the prescription in one hand, i walk out to the waiting room and hand the receptionist the prescription before finding a free seat and taking ivy out of her sling since she was starting to get fussy again,
i softly whisper to her to try and calm her down and after a while she seems fine just laying in my arms and chilling, "she's so cute," the woman beside me says grabbing my attention, i look up to see a blonde girl who looks about mid thirties sitting beside,
"oh thank you, i made her myself," i joke assuming she's just being polite,
"so where's her mom surely if you had popped out this little beauty you'd want to spend every moment with her," she teases with a slight aggression,
"actually she doesn't have a mom, she-"
"oh god that's awful, what kind of person would leave such a angle," she says, "my jason's dad left too," she says gesturing to a six year old currently pelting toy cars at other children, "we should meet for coffee some time, us single parents really need to stick togetherness," i'm to panicked to speak but thankfully my attention is pulled away by george, he looks half asleep and his wearing clothes that are farmto big for him,
he takes ivy off my lap and sit down where she was holding ivy to his chest, "he doesn't like coffee," he snarks at the other woman, i can't help but smile,
"dada," ivy mumbles sleeping,
"how was the appointment?" he asks turning our attention away from the other girl,
"he was pretty rushed but he said she should be fine and he's giving up meds for her," i say,
"okay," he nods,
"you wanna take ive back to the car?" i suggest,
"no you're comfy," he mumbles nuzzling himself into my neck,
