Chapter 20

Itsuka woke up in the room Uwabami had lent her for the duration of her internship. Yawning, she sat up to find she had actually woken up earlier than normal. She stood from her bed and looked to he standing mirror that was in every room in the building and saw her hair. She reached up to touch it just to feel it was still just as soft and springy as the day before.

Itsuka: "These products really do their job. No wonder Uwbami makes so much from those commercials."

Not feeling tired anymore, she quickly showered and got dressed in her casual clothes. She finished by putting her hair up in her signature ponytail and left the room. Uwabami had granted both Itsuka and Yaoyorozu an uninhabited floor of her building to sleep in so when Itsuka walked out, no one was there. She could hear Yaoyorozu snoring from across the hall and waved it off. The sound had become background noise to her after a couple days of internships.

Itsuka continued to walk down the hall to a living area complete with a kitchen and small lounge with a TV. As she entered, she could hear a voice from the bathrooms that sounded like Uwabami. Confused, she walked over to the women's room door and knocked. A startled yelp was heard from Uwabami.

Uwabami: "Who is it?"

Itsuka: "It's me ma'am. Is something wrong?"

Uwabami: "Not at all, just having trouble with makeup is all! I apparently left the lipstick I wanted down here!"

Itsuka: "Alright. Good luck!"

Itsuka then went to the kitchen to make some breakfast for her and Yaoyorozu. Soon after, Uwabami came out, fresh lipstick on and a troubled look on her face.

It was now mid-day and Uwabami and her interns were on a train going to another city.

Yaoyorozu: "Um, ma'am? Could you explain why we're going to Kamino?"

Uwabami: "Mt. Lady invited us to be in a photo shoot. That's all."

Upon saying the fellow hero's name, Uwabami flashed a fearful look which caught Itsuka's eye. It was clear more was going on."

Mt Lady: *Yelling* "C'mon! Clean! They'll be here any minute!"

Mineta: "Y-y-yes ma'am!"

Over his internship, Mineta had learned just how harsh the "total babes" he was thirsting over could be. Mt. Lady had forced him to clean while being more lazy than he had seen even Kaminari be. While he was there to hopefully score even a hug, he knew just how important his hero career was so he asked for training, just to be told to clean again. The second time he asked however, she took him outside the city, threw him in her giant state, and called it training. To say he was scared of her was an understatement.

There he cleaned for the next half hour, ensuring not a speck of dust remained. After a while, Mt. Lady had reemerged from her room, now sporting a variant of her hero costume. Instead of the full bodysuit, it was now three pieces, a pair of yoga pants made to resemble the bottom half of her costume, a cropped t-shirt with the same pattern as her costume top, and a striped jacket with her colors on it.

Mineta: "L-l-looking good ma'am!"

Mt. Lady just scoffed.

Mt. Lady: "Whatever. Just hope we can finish this early, I hate working."

A knock was heard and the hero rushed over to the door to open it. When it opened, Mineta felt a wave of hope wash over him as he saw two familiar faces, Itsuka and Yaoyorozu.

Mt. Lady: "Hello! Come in! Uwabami, I need to talk to you, please come with me."

Uwabami: "Y-yes. If course."

Mt. Lady: "Perfect! You two can sit right in here."

She closed the door as the three walked inside. She then led Uwabami to another room as Itsuka and Yaoyorozu sat down. Mineta rushed over to them.

Mineta: "Yaoyorozu! Kendo! You have to help me!"

Yaoyorozu: "Mineta? Why? I figured you'd love it here."

Mineta: "That was before she turned me into her personal cleaning maid!"

Itsuka: "What about patrols?"

Mineta shook his head.

Mineta: "None! Plus the only time we trained, she took me to the forest outside the city and threw me! It took hours to get back here!"

Itsuka: "Weird. Yaoyorozu."

Yaoyorozu: "Yes? Did Uwabami seem off to you?"

Yaoyorozu: "Yes actually. She seemed... afraid of Mt. Lady."

Mineta scoffed.

Mineta: "Mt. Lady wouldn't do anything, she's too lazy. She only works to get money and then complains about it."

Itsuka: "Lazy?"

Mineta: "Yeah! She puts anyone in our classes to shame!"

Suddenly, a hand was placed on Itsuka's shoulder.

Mt. Lady: "What are you three talking about?"

Itsuka looked behind her, just to see Mt. Lady glaring into her eyes. Yeah, something was definitely up.
