Our pup comes home today. Our pup comes home today! Fido has been a constant prancing and repeating this phrase for the past four hours.
My excitement is through the roof as well but at the same time nerves have set in. Hoping she likes the decorations and toys we have bought for her. It has been a week in the making for Aysun to officially be Raine's and I's pup. Today is the day we just officially signed the papers that Chelsey was needing to have filed to make Aysun ours.
One week to make sure it gave time for any pack member to say they don't approve of us being adoptive parents. One week for anyone to give Chelsey a reason as to why we can't adopt Aysun. All normal and done in the pack for decades set up by an Alpha almost a hundred years ago from what we have learned because there were some issues at one point. So we done as the pack laws stated to be done and it felt like the longest week of my life waiting for this day to come, because we knew no one would have an issue with it and not a soul has, instead everyone has been overly happy for us and congratulating the three of us.
Every day Raine has brought Aysun with her to the house until it would be her bedtime then we took her back to Chelsey together. Little Aysun has been so excited. We have had her room set up that very day that she said she wanted us to adopt her so we could be her Papa and Mommy as it feels right.
As for the thing with the Bruin we have not gotten far in the research for anything else other than witches spells with the memory section. It is set for the four of them to try and regain their memories within two days time. None of us pushed them to do it as it is their choices but it could really help in knowing more possibly, but it was a day set Lance suggested and they agreed.
"Are you ready?" Raine bounces to me from where I stand with a glass of water in the kitchen.
"More than ready." I nod and empty the glass before placing it in the dishwasher.
Together we walk hand in hand to the daycare center.
"So how will it go when you work?"
"Easy Aysun comes with me to the center and comes with me of course when I am not working. Chelsey even said days where I don't work but have to tend to things we will take her to the center just like other parents with pups young." Raine looks to me with a smile.
"That is perfect." I smile as I look back at the path we are walking.
The weather is perfect and sunny. Fido is content as we walk making everything just seem to fall into place with peace. Something I don't plan to ever take for granted.
"So one thing I am curious on." Raine catches my attention.
"What's that?"
"We are adopting but would you want pups of our own one day?"
"Of course and they would all be treated just the same. As long as it is something you are wanting."
Raine smiles wide and looks back to in front of us. "Maybe one day we can plan to come off birth control then for now let's just enjoy having Aysun and settling in along with getting everything else around us calmer."
I nod." Hey Raine."
"Yes?"
"What if never calms. I mean it seem that typically there is something always going on or has been that way since I have been in the pack. Not always bad or major but we seem to always have something either just pack business or rogues."
"In that case when we decide we are ready to try for our own biological pup we can." She smiles at me and I lean over to kiss her quickly.
Within less than five minutes I am holding the door open for Raine as we enter the daycare center. My eyes instantly go to Aysun as she runs straight for us and jumps into Raine's arms.
"Hi sweet girl." Raine whispers and hugs her close. "Are you ready to go home with us permenantly?"
Aysun smiles so wide when she pulls back from Raine to have her hands on Raine's shoulders. "More than ready." She nods quickly.
"Here you both go a copy of the papers stating she is officially your daughter." Chelsey smiles wide to us while I take the folder from her.
"Thank you." I smile and accept them.
"No thank you. She has been so incredibly happy I haven't seen her smile like this before and she has been with me here right after she could barely walk around." Chelsey smiles and rubs Aysun's back while she stays in Raine's arms. "I shall see you when you are here and around the pack Aysun."
Before we leave Chelsey barely touches my arm and whispers close to me. "She tends to have night terrors even though she was so very young part of her remembers seeing her parents killed by rogues just outside their family home in town by the border. It happened in broad daylight but it does leave a mark on any little one."
I give a nod. "Thank you for telling me."
"Of course." Chelsey smiles before waving to us walking from the daycare center.
Once we are on the walking paths Raine sits Aysun down on her feet and we each hold one of her hands. Just enjoying the walk as Aysun takes everything in.
"It is so big here." She mumbles and I smile.
"It is fairly large and this is just the center of the pack not even town." I respond to her statement.
"We can walk to town if you want? Then once we are home you can see your room." Raine offers and Aysun instantly agrees.
"What's that?" Aysun points once we are in town.
I look up and see her pointing a shop. "That is the ice cream shop."
"Can we get some Papa! I love chocolate but never seen ice cream like that." Aysun tilts her head looking at the image of a cone with ice cream is in while dipped in chocolate with sprinkles on top.
"You sure can." I smile to wide as her calling me 'Papa' melts me to the extreme it is a title I will proudly have while making sure she stays safe and happy. I can tell right now I will have issues telling her 'no' at any point in time but I plan to spoil our daughter as much as Raine lets me.
