48. And Ice Cream

"Take her home Seth." Lance whispers and nods to Raine.

Valin, Uncle Levo, and Aunt Sherry got Magnolia, Ethan, and Rafel to their rooms. Well Magnolia and Ethan share a room being mates but they needed help walking.

"I will make sure the three of them here have meals took up for them." Ma smiles and kisses Raine's head just like she done the other three before they were helped out of the office.

There is nothing more we can do right now but it has our minds spinning with what we have just learned. If there is more than they would have said as such and they are all four need to have their memories for themselves. I am grateful for sharing what they have as it will help us in what could be to come.

My arms scoop up Raine and she snuggles into my chest. Her cries have calmed in the last couple of minutes but she is drained of energy just like the others. It has made Fido watch her because he is quick to shout at me how we need to care for her.

I sent a link to Chelsey asking if she could bring Aysun home for us and she said she would be there within just a short time after I would get us home.

Once inside, I get Raine up to our room and help her change into her pajamas. Just as she lays under the covers, the doorbell rings and I rush down to get our daughter.

"Papa!" Aysun smiles wide and reaches for me to pick her up once I open the door.

"Thank you for bring her home." I smile at Aysun then look to Chelsey as I picked up my little girl.

"Of course. I take it today was eventful."

I nod. "Yes it has been."

"Let me know if you need any help and I can come for Aysun in the morning if you need me to just send a link."

"Thank you."

"That's what we do in this pack." Chelsey smiles then walks off the porch.

I close the door and Aysun looks around. "Where's Mommy?"

"She is upstairs in bed. Today was tiring and emotional."

Aysun tilts her head. "Can I see Mommy? I missed her today."

"You can little one." I kiss her cheek and then walk her up the stairs.

Reaching mine and Raine's room, Aysun wiggles out of my arms and I sit her on the floor. Aysun looks at Raine and quietly walks into the room. I watch as she puts her hands on the bed and Raine opens her eyes. Aysun climbs up on the bed and I take her shoes off for her before she moves and snuggles into Raine.

My heart breaks as Raine holds Aysun close and breaks down once more. Her tears are breaking my heart but I don't know how to help her other than be here for her and listen to her. Aysun doesn't say nothing for a few minutes as she just wipes Raine's tears away.

"Love you Mommy." Aysun whispers and Raine kisses her cheek as they lay their heads on the pillow together.

"I love you too Aysun, my sweet little girl." Raine takes a deep breath and calms as she looks at our little girl.

'I will do anything to protect our little girl.' Raine links me and I nod behind Aysun.

'I know you will Love.'

'For years I went back and forth not knowing if my parents loved me or not because the memories were hidden and I feel so guilty that I had a time in my younger teenage years that I dispised them. Today shown me just how much they loved me and my sister, I can understand their love for their children now with us having Aysun and I will do anything I must to keep her safe. Anything.' Raine links and I see her eyes strengthen as she looks over Aysun.

One can easily tell just how much Raine loves Aysun and has since we have attached to her as our own daughter. Now though is even stronger, something I didn't think possible.

'You have no reason to feel guilty though Love. That is a natural reaction when not knowing and it being hidden from you.' I soothe her and she looks back at me with tears still barely in her eyes.

'Just feels like I should have known.' She sighs through our link.

'You know now though and can make sure their memories are honored and cherished.'

'Thank you.' She gives me a small smile.

"So what would you like for dinner?" I ask them.

"Chickie nuggies! They always make you feel better and ice cream." Aysun answers before Raine could.

"Does it now? I could definitely use some cheering up." Raine smiles lightly.

"I help Mommy! Leave it to me." Aysun goes to get up.

"Hey now what if you laying here cuddling with me helps the most?" Raine smiles when Aysun tilts her head and thinks.

"Papa you get food I stay with Mommy." Aysun orders making us laugh.

"You got it." I wink and they giggle. "Chicken nuggets coming up."

"And ice cream." Raine smiles wide while wiping the last of her tears.

"And ice cream." I grimace at the combo.

Going down the stairs I get the air frier on and it doesn't take long to do the nuggets before I make some sweet potato fries to go with it. I get a sauce bowl and place some barbeque sauce into two of them for my mate and daughter before putting all the food on a carrying tray, along with their ice cream and some drinks.

"Here we are." I lay the tray on the bed as they have both sat up in bed.

"We could've come downstairs." Raine smiles as I lean over her side and kiss her tenderly.

"Ewww. NO!" Aysun giggles and I look over to see her cover her eyes, it makes Raine and I laugh hard.

"How about dinner in bed with the television sound?"

"Perfection." Raine smiles as Aysun grabs a nugget and starts eating.

The three of us settle in on the bed with a princess movie on the screen as we eat dinner. Our future may be unknown but now with what we have learned, I hope that it makes it easier on everyone. My hope is that Raine and the others can heal too as time continues as they officially know they had losses but I will be there to help Raine in any way I can or she may want me too unless she tells me otherwise.
