17. Confusing Indeed

"If I may have your palm?" Lance looks to me and Magnolia after coming down from the stairs.

A knife is in his hand that he must have retrieved. Lance speaks to the both of us going through a mini speech and saying the packs name. Magnolia and I both reply with 'We will lay our life down for the pack and help in any form from this day forward as we accept becoming a member.'

He runs the knife over our hands and then his before grabbing our hands.

Power flows through as I feel a connect click in place I have never felt before. "Welcome to the pack." Lance smiles at us as he removes his hand.

Things keep snapping and clicking in place as a warmth fills my body.

"Never have I felt closely connected to so many people." Magnolia whispers with a small frown as excitement radiates through her just as I feel.

"It is new. Even leaving the pack we were in never felt a snap nor never felt connected to anyone there." I agree.

All of a sudden my head feels as if it could explode with the pressure that barrels through all at once. My hands fist and I squeeze my head. So many voices all at once welcoming us or congratulations to my sister and I fill my mind as Cryilla whines, we only ever felt our sister and could link her only.

Warm sparks lick my skin as I feel a body touch mine, pulling me into a chest. My balance unstable as my vision blurs from the pounding and squeezing in my head.

'Block it out.' A voice louder than everyone else instructs me. I know that voice. The gentle caress of his voice of my mate guides and pushes everyone else's away.

'Breath and push them all back, just focus on mine alone. Put up a wall for everyone just as if you can feel but not let anyone in the door to speak with you unless you want them too.'

I take a deep breath as I slowly push everyone back behind a wall I can feel. Slowly the noise fades and my head eases to where the pain is there no more.

"As I've said once before this keeps on getting more confusing by the second." Valin speaks up first and I look up to see him staring at us in confusion.

I try to stand back to my height as everything feels back to normal. My cheeks blush as I look back to Seth who had his arms around me holding me up.

"Confusing indeed." Levo and Lance speaks up in agreement.

"How so this time?" Magnolia sighs as she moves from where Sherry caught her from the looks of it.

Fayla comes up with fresh cups of tea. "Here you go Dears."

We both thank her. I greedy sip from mine as it tastes so good and seems to soothe everything down I didn't know still felt a little off with my head after accepting the pack.

"Neither of you are used to having large amount of mind link available. You wouldn't have reacted as such if so and I could see the shock on your face as Seth linked you even though you were in pain." Valin points to me.

"We only ever been able to link each other, never anyone else. I had thought it was because we were sisters is the only reason why as I have no clue about mind link in the extent of it all." Magnolia shrugs.

"That is where you lagged with our studies but I had told you my thoughts when reading and learning we couldn't do that like the books said we could. If you remember 'Uncle' just blew it off and acted as if we never asked those questions." I cut in.

Lance sighs and looks to both of us once more. "This is more added on but I will do my best to help as I have said before and meant it. You both are official members of my pack now and it makes it even more. Your scents will no longer that of rogues but now have this packs main scent on so that will also help in detouring anyone thinking we have rogues here because we no longer do."

A sense of peace washes over me. We are now where we officially belong, my sister and I.

"This pack helps all its members so there is no worry on it at all. Everyone loves you both already just from what I have heard this evening walking through." Sherry speaks up and Vi nods.

"I heard it myself, you both have made an impression in just a very short time especially when they seen Magnolia in the kitchens helping." Vi agrees.

Listening to everyone talk, Magnolia fits in right along with everyone and my sister looks so incredibly happy. She has already got it planned down to the spot on where she will be and wants to help with her passion for cooking. As for me I am still trying to figure out where to help but I enjoyed the idea of helping out at the daycare center or maybe making clothes with the one lady in town depending. I enjoy needle work but also something about helping with the young pups feels right moreso.

A yawn escapes my lips and Fayla catches it as she smiles softly. Seth moves and wraps his arms around me once more.

"I like this." I hum lightly already enjoying his hug as this is the first one since I don't count where he held me up as a hug.

"Let me walk you to the pack house." Seth whispers and I nod.

Magnolia bids everyone goodnight and leaves before we do as Seth went to grab a jacket of his. The air is a little cool even for me tonight for some reason.

When Seth comes back down he places the coat over me and I nuzzle the neckline of it as it smells of my mate. I know what I will be sleeping with as his scent is so calming and addicting. Seth places an arm around my waist as we begin to walk to the packhouse.

"Is this okay? If not I will let you go." Seth asks.

"Yes. I like it already and just feel safe." I smile up at him.

"I will do everything I can to keep you safe." He smiles and then his free hand comes up to rub my cheek.

We make it to my room and he removes his arm. "Link me if you need me okay?" Seth looks a little uneasy.

"I will. Goodnight Seth."

"Goodnight Raine, sleep well." He smiles then steps up to me even closer.

My eyes close as he kisses the top of my head while we both take in a deep breath of each others scent. I let him go not even realizing my hands fisted the shirt at his waist when he leaned up to me before kissing my head. Oh, the poor heart of mine as it patters in my chest harshly. Not that I will even blame the bond because it is me too all in one but I am already addicted to my mate.
