There is a moment where vomit is mentioned and vaguely described. Its not that big of a deal but I'll add the warning anyways.

The mountain breeze passed through Rito Village with ease, crisp and refreshing. You welcomed the feeling of cold air on your face as you stood against the wood railing of some landing high up in the town, away from most traffic. It was not a big village by any means, in fact it was rather small, cozy even. Above it all soared a giant bird- like machine, which periodically screeched like some kind of hawk.
To tell the truth, you'd been rather ignorant lately, the situation with Revali a couple nights before had shown you that much. As you were walking back from the hut where you left, the quiet between you and Millie was so awkward, you needed some kind of distraction.
"Millie?" you'd said lowly, almost a whisper. "Can, uh, you tell me what 'The Calamity' is?" Millie had stopped dead in her tracks are turned to you so fast her ponytail whipped her in the cheek.
"You don't know what The Calamity is," she questioned sharply, so sharply that it sounded more like a statement. "Are you serious?" You shrunk back a little at her exasperation as she ran her hands over her face with an annoyed moan. Over the course of the walk back to camp, she explained the situation to you in... questionable detail. She swore a bunch mainly, and you'd assume she left some more complex details out. The general idea of the whole thing is that some prophecy foresees the return of the Devil(?) and it is basically up to two teenagers and "Divine Beasts" to save Hyrule from ruin.
This made sense, but...
"Uhh," you'd interjected, much to Millie's displeasure. "What even are the Divine Beasts...?"
"...Did you just not notice the gargantuan, flying, bird- shaped war machine in the sky?"
"Wait... that's a Divine Beast?" You'd seen it a couple times from afar, but never actually paid it much mind. You figured it was typical for there to be machines everywhere, after all, they were all over the castle. If you thought about it for literally more than five seconds, it would've been immediately apparent that the massive bird robot circling the village was probably more than just some machine.
Just remembering that interaction made you cringe where you stood, hanging your head over the banister. Millie must be so tired of your shit already, which is humorous in it's own way, but mainly just plain embarrassing. You were lucky that Russ somehow vouched for you and Millie when the two of you returned to camp, so neither of you were met with any kind of punishment. In fact, everything seemed basically normal for the past while, though you'd gone without seeing a familiar face...
At least you had a day off today, so there was no need to be around Millie at all. Since all the unpacking was over with, there was no real reason for everyone to constantly be doing things on site. Every other day, five or six soldiers had been getting days off to do whatever, as long as they stay in the general area. Today, you and a few others were free.
"Hey," a familiar voice called out, startling you. An unamused Revali stood behind you, wings crossed. You were happy to see him, though it didn't seem he felt the same. Weirdly, he held a tin bucket with a creaky handle in his arms. You were going to say something, but he immediately cut you off. "Ugh, you reek." Revali remarked with a grimace. "You smell like you just crawled out of a ditch. With a hundred dead rats. And garbage. On fire."
"Ha- ha, good to see you too," you laughed dryly, turning to properly face him. You stood their awkwardly for a second before the insult actually hit you. "Wha— Hey! It's not my fault were only allowed like five minutes to bathe. Something about conserving resources or whatever." Revali looked at you with some sort of pity for a moment before letting out a sigh.

Fanfiction"At least you have me to keep you company, huh?" you remarked, looking up at the rito cheekily. The flame licked at the bottom of the pot, crackling quietly. Revali only stared at you, feigning annoyance. "Oh, don't give me that look," You scoffed...
