They were all sitting in class watching as Pyrrha did what we in the business call a one-sided battle. Which was her kicking the ass of Team CRDL with relative ease and once it was over with Cardin falling to his knees.

Glynda "and that's match"

Cardin "lucky shot" he said before he collapsed

Glynda "well done miss Nikos You should have no problem entering the tournament"

Pyrrha "thank you professor" she said

Glynda looked at her scroll "Alright, now I know that's a tough act to follow, but we have time for one more sparring match." She said looking for any students "Any volunteers? Ms. Belladonna?" She said startling her and making her slam her book shut "You've been rather docile for the past few classes. Why don't you-" she was about to Finish but a certain Grey haired prick raised his hand

Mercury "I'll do it"

Glynda "Mercury is it? Very well let's find you an opponent"

Mercury "actually I want to fight her" he said pointing at Pyrrha

Pyrrha "me?" She asked

Glynda "I'm afraid miss Nikos Just finished the match. I recommend you choose another Fighter"

Hilda was about to raise her hand but Pyrrha spoke first

Pyrrha "no it's fine I'm happy to oblige" she said to Hilda's disappointment

This child looked like a trouble maker and she wanted to injure his legs as a form of corporal punishment after all no one is cocky after they lose the ability to walk for awhile

Mercury struts into the arena, visibly sizing up Pyrrha. Their spar begins when he makes the first attack and is knocked down. Recovering quickly, he deflects an attack and begins trading blows with Pyrrha until she knocks him back with her shield.

Ruby Leaned over to emerald

Ruby "your friends doing pretty good" she said much to her displeasure because mercury was going to be obnoxious about this after it was over

Mercury unleashes a series of powerful strikes. Pyrrha allows his kick to slam against her forearm before Mercury manages to disarm her, a kick impaling her blade into the ground. Pyrrha uses her Semblance to redirect the direction of Mercury's next kick. As she charges him with her shield, he shoots off of it and turns his back to her. Pyrrha tries to rush him again.

Then suddenly mercury stops fighting

Mercury "I forfeit" he said

Pyrrha was very surprised at this

Pyrrha "you don't even want to try?" She asked

Mercury shrugged "what's the point? you're a world renowned fighter we're obviously leagues apart" he said

Glynda "in that case Pyrrha Nikos is the victor of the match again"

While Emerald and mercury were being smug Pyrrha was very annoyed and disappointed with this whole thing

Hilda "Ich hasse das selbstgefällige Gesicht, ich möchte sein Gesicht im Dreck sehen, wenn mein Stiefel ihn niederdrückt." (I hate the smug face I want to see his face in the dirt with my boot pushing him down) she said to Lena who nodded

Everyone began to exit the class

Mercury met up with emerald

Mercury "learning is so much fun"

As team RWBY exits the class sun walks up to Blake

Sun "hey Blake! Are you uh okay?" He asked

Blake "I'm fine" she said shutting a book she was reading

Sun "so I hear there is a dance going on this weekend... ah sounds pretty lame but you and me I'm thinking not as lame. Huh?" He said trying to hit on Blake but sadly for him he did not pass the Charisma check

Blake "what?"

Sun "the dance this weekend! You wanna go or what?" He asked

Blake "I don't have time for a stupid dance I thought you of all people would get that" she said walking with Sun slumping in rejection

Blake "you what?" She said to her team off screen

Timeskip to team RWBY's dorm

Ruby "we want you to go to the dance"

Blake "that's ridiculous"

Yang "Blake we're worried about you this investigation is starting to mess with your head"

Weiss " You can't sleep, you hardly eat, and to be honest your grades have been suffering" she said counting on her fingers

Blake "you think I care about grades?" She said then pointed to the window "People's lives are at stake!"

Yang "we know and we're all trying to figure out what Torchwick and this Wittmann girl is up too"

Ruby "Thanks to you and Sun we know they're operating somewhere outside of southeast Vale"

Weiss "And, the Schnee company records singled out Vale as the primary target for Dust robberies over the last few months"

Yang "don't forget about the missing military tech"

Blake "but there's still unanswered questions like these people dressed up and talking like team JAEE and the other ones"

Ruby "we won't be able to find anything if you can't keep your eyes open" she reasoned

Yang "all we're asking is that you take it easy for one day"

Weiss "it will be fun Yang will make sure of it!"

Yang "yeah we're planning the whole event!"

Blake "excuse me?"

Weiss "team CFVY's away mission lasted longer than expected"

Yang "so Weiss and I were asked to pick up where they left off and now we can make sure you have a perfect night"

Weiss "and once it's all over we'll return for our search rested and ready"

Ruby "so what do you think?" She asked

Blake "I think this is a colossal waste of time"

Blake then proceeded to exit the dorm

Blake "I'll be in the library" she said as she exited the room

Yang "great" she remarked

Weiss "she can't keep going like this" she said as a knock on the door was heard

Weiss opened it to reveal Jaune with a guitar

Jaune "Weiss!" He sang

Weiss then proceeded to slam the door shut

Jaune "oh come on open the door I promise I won't sing!" He pleaded

And jaune tried to ask Weiss to the dance through song but was swiftly rejected again
