Loki x Platonic reader- Sacrifice for the multiverse

Y/n is going to sacrifice herself but Loki stops her

It all started with the message. A letter was delivered to the compound and it was specifically meant for Y/n. Somehow she knew this day would come. The day Y/n dies. It's because as the sorcerer supreme, Strange had told her.

He had said that it was her prophecy to sacrifice herself in order to keep the multiverse safe. And by sacrificing, he meant giving all of her powers away until she was empty and left to die. She had already distanced herself from the rest of the people in the compound.

She didn't live there, but the letter somehow reached there instead of her house, so she got a phone call. "Hey Y/n, we need you. Come fast it's urgent", Tony spoke and she simply replied with an 'Ok'. In the back of her mind she knew what it was about.

Soon Y/n arrived at the compound, and went straight to the main meeting room. Tony, Loki and Strange, she saw the 3 arguing from afar. The moment she entered all eyes were on her and she returned a smile. Strange looked frustrated, Loki had a worried look and Tony raised his eyebrow after seeing you smile.

"I think I know what this is about", Y/n stated as she came closer. "So you have no problem with dying?", Tony sassed back. "She's supposed to die, she has no choice here!", Strange replied to him even though Tony didn't askhim. "I wasn't talking to you", Tony argued again.

Loki pinched his nose at this, it's been going on for 20 minutes. He tried to stop them but they never shut up. Tony and Strange started arguing over Y/n... again. Loki saw Y/n frowning at the 2 and decided to take her away for a while. He walked to her and took her hand as he dragged her outside.

They both stopped by the balcony, away from the fighting voices. "Hey, you ok?", Loki concerned as he held Y/n's shoulders. She nodded back. "Aren't you scared?", he asked further. "I always knew this day would come. No one lives forever and... somehow it's my destiny to protect the multiverse. Even if it takes all of me. And yes, I am scared", Y/n expressed.

"I see no possibility of the multiverse dying. But why you? Why is your sacrifice needed and not Strange's?", Loki questioned as his expression started changing to sadness. "I don't know, maybe I'm not that important", Y/n said making Loki shake his head. "You are", Loki assured. Y/n took his hands and reassured, "For now, let's just wait."

For a moment, everything was alright and the next, the sky was tearing apart. The realities were leaking and the multiverse was dying. And the only hope was Y/n. The cosmic energy that flowed through her veins was the only thing that could save everything from falling apart.

"Y/n! Don't do this, you will die!", Tony almost shouted through the comm. Y/n was standing in front of a massive crack in the sky from which trillions of cosmic waves were splashing on her. She managed to keep herself in place but was trying her best not to die by flying away.

The flow was against her and she was moving ahead inspite of all the efforts Tony and Loki made to bring her back. Strange also didn't want her to die, but he was helpless. "Y/n Y/l/n! Come back right now!", Stark yelled again but Y/n didn't listen.

"It has to be done Tony! If I don't do this, you all will die. Tell me Stark, do you want this world to end!?", Y/n shouted back. She was talking slow steps because of the amount of waves that were crashing on her. But she needed to get hold of the crack in order to seal it. With herself.

"We'll find another way Y/n...just come back, you don't need to do this!", now it was Loki who was shouted. His voice sounded as if he was whispering to you because of the turbulence. The voices of unknown souls were heard along with the screams of the realities. It made it hard to hear one thing.

"Loki...I need to...", Y/n's voice rang and the line went off. "Y/n? Y/n?!",Loki spoke as he looked at where Y/n was. She was still walking towards the giant crack and showed no signs of stopping. Tony had a horrid expression on her face. All the alarms were going off, and the rest of Avengers were also trying to seal the crack but to no avail.

Y/n was almost there. Her nose started bleeding because of such an impact, her eyes were bloodshot of the cosmic flow. She couldn't walk properly but gave her best, she had kept her hands in the same position for hours trying to control the energy, it helped just for a bit then again it broke into the same chaos.

Y/n felt like she had gone deaf because of the loud noises and screams of the multiverse but then in her mind...a voice was heard, "Do you know what you're doing?", a man spoke. It was Strange. She stopped and closed her eyes.

"You have no chance to survive...but if you gain control...", Strange revealed. Y/n opened her eyes and saw the crack was right in front of her. Her body had given up but her mind was still strong. Her eyes were heavy but her hands still worked. Now or never, she had to put an end to this.

With one swift move, Y/n got hold of the crack. Her hands felt like they were on fire but she didn't give up. She began screaming as all her energy finally started draining into the crack. It started closing as she emptied herself.

Y/n's eyes began to close and her screaming stopped. She couldn't even move her hands as they had become one with the crack. It pulled all the energy out of her. She finally lost her hearing ability and everything went silent. Her knees gave up causing her to fall.

Loki, Strange and Tony watched in devastation as Y/n slowly disappeared in the bright light. Tony's head fell and he shut his eyes in defeat. Strange's face was emotionless and Loki...his eyes. His eyes didn't leave the spot she was last seen at.

Without thinking about anything else, he left to get her back. This wasn't the end of Y/n. He denied it. The whole world was locked in their house because the cosmic energy was spreading everywhere. But Loki opened the door. He was not going to lose anyone else, especially not Y/n.

He peered over the platform she was on and walked ahead. At first, he was pushed back because of the force but he lifted his feet and kept on walking. But suddenly the energy increased and he was thrown away with the impact.

Y/n had given up. She couldn't let her hands down, her legs had given up and now her body was too, but somehow she was still surviving. A moment came by when all her memories flashed in front of her eyes, but it had no colour. Just as she was about to finally close her eyes...

Something came flying towards her, it was Loki. In one fast movement, he grabbed her on the way and flew along with the flow of the energy. Loki then used a lot of his strength to get a grip on to the platform they were on with Y/n in his other arm, motionless.

He used his telekinetic powers to get closer to it and luckily he did. Tony and Strange noticed and decided to help. They opened the door and spotted the 2 hanging on to the railing. Strange immediately created the mystic ropes in order to pull them in and Stark held the door open.

Once they were both in, Loki adjusted Y/n in a more comfortable manner and carefully placed her on the floor. An echoing sound was heard from outside and when their heads turned to the direction, they saw the cracks were filling up. She saved them.

Loki gently took her head in lap and spoke, "Y/n?...Y/n, are you...". He didn't know what to say. Her face was empty of any emotions...or life. She wasn't moving and it scared him. Strange slowly crouched down, he took her wrist to check her pulse. It was incredibly slow but there.

He smiled making Tony cheer in happiness. Loki instantly enveloped her in his arms and cried. "Oh Y/n!", he rejoiced as he let her go. She moved a little at first and then she jolted awake, out of air. "Hey, it's ok, it's alright, you're alive", Loki assured as he took her in his arms again. Tony joined in the hug as Stephen watched.

"You fulfilled the prophecy, you saved us", Strange stated as he smiled. Tony patted her head like a proud father and Loki kissed her forehead. She gazed at them in a frown and then she collapsed on Loki, cushioning her fall. He caught her in an instant and frowned, "Hey Y/n?".

"Don't worry, it's the weakness that comes after...that", Strange explained by pointing at the cracks outside. "She's strong, she'll be ok", he continued. "Now let's take her somewhere she doesn't die", Stark sassed back. And before taking her, Loki whispered, "We've got you Y/n, you're safe now".
