Frank and Y/n get attacked in the trailer, she gets shot so he calls Lewis for help
TW:blood, canon-typical violence, shooting"I guess we'll just have to settle with cup noodles tonight", Y/n spoke as she and Frank walked to the trailer they temporarily lived in. "Yeah", Frank snorted. They hopped inside, settling down opposite each other. They had just returned after chasing a suspect for half the day...and he still got away. Even Frank wasn't able to get to him, the guy was definitely connected.
"I do love my job but sometimes it sucks infinitely", Y/n cursed herself for being a forensic psychologist as she poured hot water into two cups. She took one and handed it to Frank who was already eating the burning noodles. Y/n scoffed and sat with her cup doing the same. They were done within 5 minutes.
"Thank you", Frank said as Y/n took the cups to throw them away. She simply smiled back and walked to the bin. That's when she got a feeling that something was wrong. She discarded the cups and turned her face towards Frank and frowned. He only raised his eyebrows in confusion. She then lowered one of the blinds and eyed the area outside.
"What?", Frank stood up and did the same. "Just a feeling", she sighed when there was nothing outside. Frank tilted his head asking for more so Y/n said, "I tend to get a bad feeling when things are about to go-", they were interrupted by a shot going off. Frank immediately covered her head and pushed her down.
"Sideways!", Y/n exclaimed. She ducked and swiftly made her way to the gun in her bag. She grabbed it and tossed it to Frank and then she reached for another gun under the table. She reloaded it and took cover as shots kept blasting the trailer. "Y/n, Stay down!", Frank shouted. Glass was shattering, and the cupboard was already broken of the sniper bullets.
They both shot back a couple of times making the shooting slow down a bit, but it didn't stop. Soon they ran out of ammo and Frank cursed. Y/n remembered that she had kept extra ammo in the drawer so she leapt towards it. Frank dodged the bullets and kept himself low as the shooting carried on destroying the place.
Y/n opened the drawer, snatching the ammo out and just as she threw it to Frank, she got shot in her shoulder...twice. A grunt left her mouth as she fell on the floor. Frank instantly caught it and reloaded it as he looked back at her. "Kid!!", he shouted and shooted back outside.
His eyes widened at the sight of Y/n clutching her shoulder as it bled through her hand. He quickly jumped down to her while shooting back simultaneously. He ducked and took her good hand and swung it around his shoulder. "It's ok, I got you", he whispered as he tried to pick her up. When he did, Y/n cried out of the pain. He kept both of them crouched down so that more damage is avoided.
In an instant he took Y/n to the back door and kicked it down. The shooting didn't stop and they continued dodging the bullets. Carefully Frank brought Y/n down the trailer, in the back part where it was more safer. They smartly escaped the shooting spree as Frank supported Y/n's body weight on his own.
After walking for what felt like hours, they stopped under a bridge. Frank decided to settle Y/n down for a bit as he thought about what to do next. He carefully made her sit by the wall. Y/n groaned and clutched her shoulder more as her eyes began to get heavy.
Frank noticed and said, "Hey, hey kid, keep your eyes open ok? Look at me. Hey kid", he spoke as he shook her head to keep her awake. He gazed at her wound and saw that she was losing blood very fast. He applied pressure on the wound as he tried to think of a way to help her. And then he remembered Lewis.
Lewis was already mad at him for involving him in the case but Frank knew that he will help Y/n. He kept his hand on her open wound as he fetched his phone with the other. Y/n cried out again, "Frank... don't", she whined. She knew who he was calling. "Hey, shh shh shh, it's ok", Frank said applying pressure.
Y/n groaned more when she shifted a bit. "Lewis, Y/n is shot, I need you buddy I need...ok ok", Frank hung up the phone and whispered, "He's on the way". He put his phone away and raised his head to find Y/n's eyes shut. He panicked, "Hey kid? Kid come on. Y/n? No kid...", his voice began to break.
Within 2 minutes, a car pulled up in front of them. "Get in!", Lewis called as he opened the door. Frank immediately picked Y/n up and hurried to the car. He carefully settled her in the passenger seat and sat next to her, keeping pressure on the wound. "What the hell happened?", Lewis asked as he started driving back to his place. It was the safest for now.
"Sniper attack. Two bullets", Frank whispered. His eyes were trained on Y/n who was crucially still. Before Frank could speak Lewis called, "We're here. Come on!". Frank got into action and carefully picked Y/n's dead weight to Lewis' apartment. He entered his house and walked straight to his bedroom while Lewis fetched for his medical supplies.
Frank placed her on bed and stepped away. Lewis carefully slipped Y/n's shirt below her shoulder revealing two entry wounds. He cleaned it and put his tweezers inside one of them. That seemed to wake her up as she gasped loudly and choked herself awake. Frank saw it and instantly rushed to hold her down.
"Hey it's ok. It's Lewis", Frank assured her as she calmed down. She cried out as Lewis took both the bullets out and proceeded to patch her up. Frank only held her hand as she cried. "She's going to be fine", Lewis sighed when he was done. Finally she calmed down and closed her eyes.
Frank stroked her head and turned to Lewis. "Her hand might be broken", Lewis stated as he cleaned up. Frank nodded while looking at her. "I'm going to find that goddamn piece of shit and I'll kill him. I'll kill him for this", Frank swore and rooted back to Y/n. "Yeah? When? Cause I know you ain't leavin her now", Lewis spoke crossing his arms.
Frank gave him a look but his head fell down. "Yeah...right", he mumbled and made himself comfortable on the chair, stretching his legs on the bed he grabbed a book to read. Lewis shook his head as he left his own bedroom. He knew Frank was going to wait until she woke up. And when she did, he was going to find the shooter and rip him apart.
