THALIA AND BELLAMY FINALLY make it back to camp. They see everybody panicking, running and scattering around.
"The grounder is gone!" Miller yells, filled with panic.
Thalia turns to looks up at Bellamy. He shakes his head, not scared anymore. His eyes avoided her, staring ahead.
"What if he brings other grounders back?" Jasper shouted. Everybody froze, shaking with fear and despair.
"Let the grounders come!" Bellamy shouts to them, him and Thalia walk towards the middle of the gathered delinquents. They both held bags that held most of the guns, and he held a second bag that held the ammunition.
"We've been afraid of them for far too long," he begins. "And why? 'Cause of their knives and spears," Bellamy spoke. "I don't know about you, I'm tired of being afraid."
The two look at each other, giving a slight nod before swinging the bags off their shoulders. They sit them down on the ground, the noise of guns clanking together brought more attention to the rest.
"These are weapons, they are not toys for you to go around playing with," Thalia speaks up. "And we have to be prepared to give them up to the guard when the first drop-ships come."
"But, until then, they're gonna help keep us safe."
Bellamy's jaw clenches as he stares down at the girl, his eyes tracing her lips as she speaks. "And there are plenty more where these came from. Tomorrow we start training. And, if the grounders come - we're gonna be ready to fight." He says, finishing up as his finger rubs against the back of Thalia's hand.
Bellamy raises his eyebrows at Thalia, she shakes her head and turns to Raven. He grabs the bags from Thalia, letting her get her best friend's attention.
