The Two Sisters: Dire-fury Edition

Ch.12: Defending

A few years had passed now, and the group of dragonets had grown well. Raven was taller and had curved horns growing in along with spikes turning down her back to her tail and on her arms. Dark did also grow, but she remained on the small side. Nevertheless she didn't mind it, as she didn't let her short height get in the way of what she liked. Her neck tuft also grew immensely, and it was quite soft to the touch.

And the little egg? Well, it had hatched into a healthy male Lunight Fury dragonet. His name is Ryko, and he was currently 5 years old and had attended the school Raven and Dark attended. The young one made a friend, a young Skywing-gryphon hybrid who was quite anxious. The dragonet had taken a liking to Ryko, and stayed by his side at all times. The pup often tried to be intimidating to anyone that the hybrid cowered at, even his sisters.

Although, for a lot of creatures, it seemed as if not everyone would be as nice. For a certain someone doesn't like how hybrids are smiling and happy, and is determined to make them cower.

Time skip to the last week of school...

Raven ran down the field, playfully panting and looking around for her sister. She grumbled as she sniffed around, looking into each bush and whatnot. Still the young dragon couldn't find the Dire-fury, who was hiding perfectly in plain sight and giggling. The Hell Fury went on to look elsewhere, but heard a yelp along with whimpering. With worry she ran to where the whimpers came from, and halted then growled at the scene.

It was the golden twins again, but this time they were picking on Ryko and the little hybrid. The little one had just joined, but unfortunately his first experience at school was being looked down upon by 2 much older golden dragons. As it was her family in danger, Raven marched over to the two with a scowl. "Hey!" she yelled, catching both dragons' attention. Poisonfang scoffed while Venomtail rolled his eyes. "Leave my little brother and his friend alone! Now!" she demanded with a hiss, her claws unsheathing. Poisonfang smirked, her tail waving too close to the small dragonets. "And what if we don't, halfbreed?" Raven snarled, her fur spiking. "Then you'll suffer the consequences, fools gold."

Poisonfang growled, then with one swift move she smacked her tail at the young ones, earning a yelp and whine from them. With a roar the hybrid launched herself at the female Deathgripper, claws out and fangs bared. Venomtail quickly took action and knocked her down, initiating a fight. Raven had managed to swipe her claws at his eye, but unfortunately he had the upperhand here.

The fight was lengthy, but the two twins had left Raven with some nasty scars. They ripped one tail fin, her left paw, and seriously injured her eye as they tried to sting her face. The hybrid was now on the ground, a pool of her own blood flowing and the female whimpering and hissing weakly.

Before they could do any more damage Dark had bitten Poisonfang's wing, tearing a hole through it. The golden female hissed, facing the much smaller Dire-fury who was growling at her. "Don't touch her!" she snarled, charging at Poisonfang again. This time, though, Venomtail was quick and slashed the hybrid's stomach, leaving a large gash that ran from her left shoulder to her right thigh. Dark flopped onto the ground with a pained yelp, now curled up in a whimpering ball.

As the two closed in on Dark, Raven furiously roared at them while attempting to stand. "Dont... you dare... touch... my sister!!" she was then harshly hit on the head by Venomtail, knocking her unconscious. Many creatures surrounded the scene, all scared and concerned for the two hybrids. Ryko whimpered as he held his friend, worried in tears for his sisters.

Suddenly a loud and furious roar was heard, and before the evil twins could process it they were knocked aside by a white dragon-wolf. It was Bonnie, and he was furious as hell and was determined to keep his puppyhood promise up. The twins fought hard against the older male, but he was filled with rage. One student yelled for someone to get the teachers and to get medical help for the siblings, but also to get the commander.

Bonnie was covered in scratches and his fur stained red with blood, but he didn't give up. He hissed, swiping at Poisonfang again, leaving her with more scars than she gave him. "Grrrrr... you little- RAAAAGH!!" she roared as she again pounced on him, but was immediately knocked and pinned down by a huge sun colored gryphon. It was principal Solius, and he was not happy at the twins. He made sure to pin her tail to keep her from stinging him, having the strength to keep the young dragonet down.

"P-principal Solius sir! Th-they attacked me when I was just-" "Hold your tongue, Poisonfang Reaclaw! Venomtail you stay where you are right now!!" he snarled at the male twin, who stood still now. Solius then told the two guards that accompanied him to hold the golden twins until backup arrived, and in the meantime he tended to Raven and Dark to keep them from bleeding out. At the same time he comforted little Ryko who was sniffling and crying, exclaiming that his sisters were going do die.

"They won't die, little Ryko. We won't let them." he softly said, rubbing the pup's back with a wing. Ryko looked up at the gryphon with pleading teary eyes. "P-pwomise?" "I promise." he reassured the pup, patching up the sisters' most severe wounds and cleaning the light ones.

Almost an hour had passed, and the sisters were taken to the hospital for professional treatment. At the scene Bonnie stayed behind along with 3 students who witnessed the attack, and Ectoplasm was there along with a group of guards. They all talked to eachother, hearing the witnesses' sides of the story including Bonnie's. Tarrus was furious with this and demanded they clear his dragonets' names, for the Nightfang siblings to be expelled, Solius fired and replaced, and for Ectoplasm to have his status revoked and given to a "more appropriate" dragon. Solius, of course, said that was not possible for the students' sides of the story matched and that Raven, Dark and Bonnie's injuries were proof of this.

Tarrus then turned to Ectoplasm with a hiss, to which the male fury hissed back at. "It's your idiotic pups that hurt my dragonets, Night Fury. This is what happens when you choose to fall for that mutt!!" he exclaimed, and Ectoplasm snarled, but he kept calm. Even though he wanted nothing more than to end him right there, he had to let the council decide his fate. He was part of the Goldscale clan, after all. "Don't you dare insult my pups ever again, and do not even dare to insult my mate either. Your "precious dragonets" are nothing but guilty of their crimes, and you are too! You used your status, bloodline and your scales to your advantage to keep your own damn pride." "Why you-!"

"Stop this fighting now!" demanded a Chinese Long, just arriving at the scene along with his Nightwing assistant. Tarrus smirked at Ectoplasm then turned to the two. "Ah, Councilman Rosh, Councilseer Timescale. Good to see you here, for this villainous dragon allowed-" Rosh immediately growled at Tarrus, silencing him. "Do not try to plague my mind with lies, Tarrus! You and your family have stepped over the line many years ago, but now it is clear to everyone what you really are!"

Tarrus had his jaw open wide, then closed it as he snarled. "This dog-lover allowed his little fleabags to attack my dragonets! They're not the ones at fault but rather-" "Enough! Timescale and I have foreseen it all, Tarrus. We foresaw your evil acts, and have decided your punishment." Rosh then turned to Timescale, giving him a nod. The Nightwing nodded back, then glared the golden Deathgripper down while keeping his head up. "You are to be removed from the Goldenscale clan, for you bring shame to the clan by your acts. You and your family are no longer welcome back." Timescale then turned to Ectoplasm, his expression softening. "You may leave, Commander. Take Bonnie and Ryko with you, for Bonnie needs treatment as well, and Ryko needs you."

Ectoplasm bowed his head, thanking the Nightwing then putting his sons on his back and rushing to the hospital. "Dear Sun and Moon, please hear my plead." he whined, keeping a fast yet steady pace. "May my pups be alright and may they recover soon"
