A few days had passed since the little encounter, and the Reaclaw family stayed away from the Nightfang family. This was mostly done by Torga as she gave them a warning, but even so they didn't care to heed the warning. In their eyes, no matter her status, Dark was still a grey-coat, nothing more. She was still below them in their eyes regardless if she's royal, and will do anything to remind her of her place.

Right now they were in the town central, where a festival to honor the Sun and Moon was being held. The kings and princes stayed, mainly cuz Dark hadn't picked a mate yet, but also to show support in behalf of the Direwolf Kingdoms. It started somewhere in the morning, and now it was getting to noon. The princes talked with eachother, which mostly was of who was the best prince for the princess. Grohath didn't pay much attention as he glanced at a passing butterfly, although the others didn't say anything as they didn't really care for the insect.

The Sun king, Cyrus, talked with Torga about royal business. King Roscoe, the Forest king, and king Aspen, the Ice king, talked about their home lands and how they appreciated that their sons showed respect to the princess instead of trying to seem better. Turns out they wanted their sons to be liked not by great achievements, but rather by what they liked. Yep, the other kings were off doing who knows what as a king would do.

In the meantime, Dark mostly relaxed and enjoyed the festival with her family. She watched as families walked with their young ones as they were laughing, playing, and talking happily. She smiled, for she wished she could have that moment instead of the royal one. With a sigh, the Dire-fury walked off to Argon. Raven wasn't currently in sight, so the only othet guard was Argon. "Hey, Argon." she greeted, in which he nodded at her. "Hello, Dark. What's up?" "Nothing much, just got bored of sitting around and being a little princess." she then tapped his arm with her paw, smiling up at her friend. "Also I wanted to see how my great friend was doing!"

Argon looked away, for he did not like being referred to as a "friend" by Dark. He kept silent, bitterly reminding himself that Dark was to choose a prince to rule the Night lands by her side. The hybrid then looked back to Dark, giving her a smile. "Well, I'm doing great." he said, then stood up stretching his wings for a moment. "Do you want to go on a walk?" Argon offered, to which Dark nodded. "Of course! Thank you!" with that, the two went off, disappearing into the crowd who now didn't dare to surround the princess. It seemed as if they fully understood what would happen if Dark didn't like them, and it was all thanks to the Shadow Direwolves. Torga glanced at the two hybrids, a smile forming as she knew something about them that no one else did.

She let them be for now and walked off to Ectoplasm and Moonclaw, going to talk to them about something. Unfortunately despite the peaceful day, something might happen that would shift the group's path of destiny.

A few hours later in the evening...

It was now the evening, and the lanterns were lit up now that the sun was beginning to set on the horizon, casting a gradient of orange, pink, and blue in the sky. Creatures around went on to gather at the stage where performers would do dances in the name of the Sun and Moon, which consisted of many tricks and chants along with music.

Dark trotted back into the central with Argon, laughing with him about something. The smaller hybrid's tail wagged as she looked up at her friend, both wearing wide grins. "Of course that would happen!" Dark huffed, standing on her hind legs and propping her paws on his arm. "I mean, what did they expect? That simply sparking the blaze apples would make it work? They're blaze apples!" Argon laughed along, his tail wagging as well. "Yeah! And I even tried to tell them, but they wouldn't listen! Whooo, man, their faces were hilarious. I bet they'll have blaze apple residue by the next Sun and Moon festival, and they'll be known as "Zipple-apple-backs" for all of eternity." Dark giggled at his statement, putting her paws to her mouth to keep herself from laughing out loud.
